Sounds like stale fuel in the carbs, you need to drain the carb bowls and let fresh fuel flow through them.

thank you, you thinks its safe to drive to the shop?

  • Anonymous Mar 21, 2011

As far as safe goes, you realy dont want to be riding the bike like that in traffic,,and if it stalls and you are stranded on the side of the road.

If the shop is close by,then i say risk it,,if it is a distance then no way.

    good luck

What causes 2002 suzuki marauder to rev high after warmed up?

Hi, Could well be carburetor misadjusted. Too much air to fuel mix
Also if the bike sat for a long period, it may have gummed up jets in carb. Clean out and you'll be good to go. Hope that helps.

How many spark plugs in 2000 suzuki marauder 800

The engine on your 2000 Marauder 800 is the same 805cc engine as on my 2006 Boulevard S-50. They take two spark plugs, one per cylinder near the exhaust ports. I recommend NGK- 5129 gapped at 0.035 inches.

Bike starts well, 2006 but only has 1000 miles on it. sat in storage during move (7 months). drained gas and disconnected battery. idles fine but when you give the the gas to go or give it gas period it...

If the bike ran fine prior to putting it in storage and all you did was drain the fuel and disconnect the battery, its likely moisture ( condensation) developed in the carbs while it sat. this type of thing happens when fuel is drained. Your best bet is to remove the carbs and clean the jets. Its my opinion and experience to put fresh fuel in a bike along with (stable) fuel treatment prior to storing them. With the stable added to the fuel, the fuel will hold good for about 1 year.. Replacing the battery and starting them and letting them warm up to operating temp monthly while in storage is always a good idea..
I hope this helps..

Hey, my 2000 Suzuki VZ800 Marauder does not start up right away. I have to take the choke all the way out and then rev it up high for a couple minutes and then drive it for the first mile or so with the...

This is fairly normal for the model Suzuki you have. Because of the manual choke, of course you have to do this by hand as you are doing. Newer models have automatic chokes.

Radiator fan not working

Be sure the wires are hooked up, and it may not have gotten hot enough to turn on the fan in just a few minuets. Ride it close to home, up and down the street for a bit to see. Just do not go far until you know for sure.
