without the parts in front of me i would say IF they look the same they may marry up, rule of thum is only replace cases in pairs.Or could you have the case welded?
replace the rings as they have lost their tension
make sure that they are free to move in the grooves as to score a cylinder normally results on the ring lands closing up on the rings and jamming them
Hi, i presume that before you rebuilt the top end you had no issues? Normaly this happens when either you have exsessive play in either the big end or the small end bearing, this would be recognised by up and down moovment in the conrod for big end and piston for small end, this would account for spark plug contact only. The other thing to check was the piston identical in height to the old one, did it have the same cut outs for fuel transfere, and finaly did you install it in the correct direction with the rings located in the peg positions facing the inlet side of the barrel, was the new head gasket the same thickness as the old one, did you run i the new piston for a while if the piston and cylinder were new a bed in period must be observed
Have you looked closely for air leaks between carby and engine, airbox obstructions or wrong sized pilot jet? Choke plunger thread not loose allowing extra fuel to surge through? Try turning air mixture screw IN half turn. The site below has the complete bike in exploded diagrams. Hope this all helps, good luck.
Cheers.
do a leak down test, and compression test,if your cyclinder is damaged you will have to bore it and replace your piston, and if you have an exhaust valve you may need to adjust or replace. check exhaust system could be clogged
