Sounds like the diaphragm in the carby is shot, Ebay sells new complete carbies for $76. Also check needle and seat, by pulling off carby and blowing in the fuel inlet while the cover plate is off. push up and down on the needle and seat, air should go through when you have it open. Good luck

Clean it again you missed something or maybe a gasket is on wrong. If you went through all of that it should run fine. Stihl usually rebuilds and runs well. Slow down turbo maybe you got a little ahead of yourself. Good Luck...

I was wondering maybe I have low compression ? How can I check besides removing the spark plug and blocking with my thumb ?

You can set up a pressure gauge to check compression or take it to your local repair center and have them check compression but it might cost a little. If you try to make one yourself be careful to get the thread match correct on your plug hole.

Stihl TS 760 NOT GETTING FUEL TO CARB OR PLUG BUT HAS GREAT SPARK HAS SIT FOR A WILE POSSIBLY OUTSIDE IN ELEMENTS ANY SUGGESTIONS

What's the compression like.? The carb requires the vacuum of the falling piston to draw fuel through the venturi of the carb.

Check the fuel lines are not perished or split, and fuel filter is clean..

If all of those are good then check the carb, strip it and clean it, replace any fatigued diaphragms, make sure the needle isn't stuck in the sleeve.

I have a stihl 015 no gas going to the carburetor I changed the gas line and filter & rebuilt the carb what should I look at

It is the check valve on the metering side of the carb. The one pressed in brass bushing with the small black check valve inside. Drill it out and cleaned the carb and jets well after. When you prime the carb you will get a little air back through the jets but I get a reliable repeatable fuel flow.

Stihl chainsaw problems

Your dealer is right. Gas is not a carbs best friend. every time you fuel dirt gets in the fuel tank from the air. This eventually blocks air and fuel passages and check valves inside the carb. That is the reason. Carbs wear out like anything else. Check the price of a carb compared to a kit. Some Stihl carbs are reasonable.

Stihl TS400 stone cutter not working (no compression) so replaced piston rings, new gasket kit and clean for carb new spark plug (good spark when engin turned over) cleaned all air filters, replaced all...

You did not indicate whether or not you have compression now that you have changed out the gaskets and piston rings. If not, it seems to me that the problem could be a) cracked head or block, b) bad valve(s) or even c) a warped head.

Sorry for the bad news (if I am right).

Bt 360 stihl

possibly a fueling issue, check fuel filter, tank vent and possibly replace carb diaphrams.

My Brand new Stihl ts420 cut saw wont run full throtle, smokes white, and leaks fuel out of exhaust filter. it runs like the choke is half on.

This sounds like the carb is flooding, there is a rubber tipped needle under the metering side of the carb, this may be leaking, before replacing the needle make sure the air filter is not blocked, replace with a new filter and try again

Stihl weed eater runs 2min. then stop

Stihl weedeater was running and stopped suddenly. Put in a new fuel filter and cleaner air filter with soap and water. Checked spark plug and it appeared fine. Started the weedeater, ran for a second or so and stopped. Spark plug wasn't gas fouled. Could it be the carburetor needing new diaphram gasket and spring.

STIHL TS 400 won't start

I just repaired one with a similar problem--not getting enough gas. Two things corrected it and both were carb related. First I replaced a rather stiff diaphragm with a new one and second I reset the intake valve to allow more fuel into the carb. That solved it. Good luck.

The gas filter is weighted and should remain at the low point in the tank so it is an issue only when you are about to run out of gas--unless gas has been sitting in the tank for a long time. That can leave a film on the filter that can restrict fuel flow. Pull the fuel filter from the tank and scrap lightly on the filter. You will immediately note if there is a film on it. If so, replace the fuel filter.
