05 e.. glide .c. wont idol .and cant rev up as fast as i can turn the throtle up .and some back fires to

take the muffler off the engine and try it if ok open the muffler and clean it the screen inside gets plugged with carbon

If it cranks but wont fire then your wiring to throtle body is up the duff. If it doesnt cense that it is there then the computer wont let it start.

No you are confusing the idle screw (a thumb-screw) with the air/mixture screws, these are turned inwards (clockwise) until they lightly seat & then back out the specified amount
You should have the bike tuned by a professional who should include synchronising the carbs, this will let the engine run more smoothly, idle at lower revs ,increase speed & all-round performance speed

Almost always, the described idling problem would be a carb issue. The carbs set has to be pulled down, fully dis-assembled, all non-rubber parts soaked in carb cleaner and cleaning be done specially on the jets and pin holes.

In some instances high idle could be caused by a vacuum leak in any of the rubber coupling between the carbs and the intake manifolds.

your muffler has gotten full of carbon from the oil/gas mix you use and now theres too much back pressure and needs to be removed and cleaned or replaced,also while its off clean out the carbon deposits on the reed valves at the exhaust port

Can you slowly increase the revs? It sounds like an accelerator pump or debris in the carb.

What type of air fillter have u got on if it is an racing filter try putting the orrignal back on and aslo have u tried chaging the sparkk plug

if you can pull back on the gas foot pedal and it will idle better then it might of just started doing this. spray some throttle body cleaner inside the throtle body where the throtle opens and closes. build up should be the first cause because it wont let the throttle plate close. other wise check for a vacume leak.
