When does it overheat? At idle, or at highway speed? Is the coolant level where it should be? Overheating at idle or highway speed may be a faulty thermostat. If it overheats only at idle then it is likely a cooling fan fault. To determine if the fan is working start the engine and switch the A/C on, the fan should come on, if it does not, then you need to have the computer "scanned" to see if it can detect the reason for the fan not coming on. If the fan is switching on, then you need to have the water pump checked to see if in fact it is pumping coolant (this could also be the cause of overheating at highway speed) If you are overheating only at highway speed you may want to have the enigine checked for a blown head-gasket, or faulty radiator.

My Van is over heating and I have no heat coming through the front or back vents?

This is the primary cause of engine overheating. Possible leak points include hoses, the radiator, water pump, thermostat housing, heater core, head gasket, freeze plugs, automatic transmission oil cooler, cylinder heads and block. ... A leak-free system should hold pressure for at least one minute.

Hi, i have a 96 sb combo van which overheats and then starts to run like a hairy goat.I have replaced radiator and both temperature sender and receiver. but still doing it.then changed map sensor ,oxygen...

over heating will probably be the cause of most problems as it sends the ECM crazy with so many sensors inputting information
If you have a viscous fan hub then replace it as it is the prime cause of overheating .have a compression test done to check head gasket and cracks
If you have electric fans make sure that they are working

There is a relay switch on the heater fan switch in my 1997 jeep laredo, is it possible thats why the heater fan just suddenly stopped?

Possibly but that is not the usual cause. Look here for ways to check the realy: http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check

Common causes for blower not working are the switch and resistor. Could also be the motor itself.

Troubleshooting the switch and resistor can be done if you have an ohmmeter.
Sometimes you can tell they are bad due to signs of overheating.
If you would like more troubleshooting steps, please let me know.
