Try this :-------- With the new battery connected the speedo should flash up enduro or motard. When it flashes from enduro to motard turn igniton on but dont start.
---------------
When it flashes again to enduro press the blue mode button on the front of the left handlebar. It should revert back to the correct mileage settings.-------------
----------------------- But if that is not helping, then you can reset the speedo. To reset speedo, remove the speedo connection and reconnect it after 5 minutes. This resets the speedo. To do this undo the two Allen bolts on the top of speedo whilst holding the nuts underneath then unclip the wire connector underneath speedo (lift little white tooth clip and pull) after you have removed the speedo for 5-10 minutes put it back on to the white clip turn the key into the central position (not starting the engine or to steering lock) then your speedo should be flashing endurance and motard depending on which you own (endurance being the "r" model and motard being the "x" model) when it flashes onto your type of bike turn on the ignition to the right and you should have the correct speed reading for your bike.----------- Also you can try this procedure :----------------- a much simpler way to change the display from enduro (the r model) to motard ( the x model) and vis versa, fisrt remove the seat by undoing the 2 allen key bolts near the back of the seat, then all you need to do is disconnect the battery for about 5 mins to reset the screen(always disconnect the negative first),then when you connect the battery back up the screen will say enduro and then notrd(this stands for morard) turn the key on and then when it flashes your model hold the mode button on the left handlebar(the little blue button) and then the screen will come to life and will say 125 and ethier notrd or enduro below the number 125, and this is the mode you have selected. ------------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal, wait for few minutes, then reconnect and try the same procedure and see. There is no fuse controlling the switch. If that procedure is not helping, then it can be faulty switch or short in switch causing this.-----------
    This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Xt125r neutral light permanently on dash not working

Hi, Howard for your neutral light the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty neutral switch.
2. Grounded neutral light circuit.
If you have a dash, instrument, turn signal, tail lights, and speedometer on some bikes go out at the same time and you have confirmed that the bulbs are good then you need to do some quick diagnostics all you need is a test light and a wiring diagram usually found in the back of your service or owners manual.
1. Make sure your battery is fully charged with "CLEAN" and "TIGHT" connections and the instrument light fuse is not blown.
2. Inspect the bulb socket for corrosion and clean as necessary, a spray can of electrical contact cleaner and compressed air works the best.
3. Confirm your test light is working properly by connecting one end to the battery negative post and touching battery positive post with the sharp probe, the test light should illuminate.
4. With the ignition turned on confirm you have power to the bulb socket by connecting your test light to battery negative or ground and probe the center contact, the test light should illuminate if not you need to check the integrity of the switch or sending unit the light represents, if that is ok then you have a short in the wiring between the component and the light bulb, if all is ok proceed to the next step.
5. Confirm you have a good ground to the light bulb socket by connecting the test light to battery positive and probe any metal part of the socket housing, the test light should illuminate, if not you need to find the short and repair as necessary.
6. Inspect the integrity of the spring loaded positive contact insulation tab by pushing against it with your test light to see if it goes down and springs back fully to it's operating position again contact cleaner and compressed air works best to restore proper function.
7. If your bike has a lot of mileage the vibration can cause bulbs to become loose in the socket by wearing down the soldered contact thus loosing spring pressure from the tab and eventually stop making contact this can be fixed by replacing the bulb or putting a drop of solder on the worn out end to ensure contact.
8. If all of your dash lights are out but are good then you most likely have a faulty connection to the dash wiring harness, inspect the connector for corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.

Hi, Kyleshep nice novella and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Failed alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.
10. Accelerator pump damaged or not working.
11. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.
12. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
13. Fuel tank empty.
14. Fuel tank contaminated with ethanol sludge.
15. The gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
16. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.

Hi ! I have xt 125 x and problem with speed on the clock

i have an xt125r and i had the same problem. try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then when u reconnect it the screen will flash endr/mtrd and select your model(mtrd for xt125x) by turning the ignition key and pressing the blue button(the one u set your lcd with)
when it's on mtrd. the battery is under the seat:p. hope it solves your problem, and make sure it's an x(much smaller front wheel)

ENDR Ntrd appears on the screen and even if the bike is off

Turn the ignition on and hold the pass light button in when it says either endr or ntrd depending on whether your bike is an enduro (off road) or the other one (don't know the name).

How do i change from kilometres to miles on a yamaha xt125r

the speedo is only set in mph but yamaha use the same speedo on the xtx and the speedo is run off the brake discs they are differant sizes so you must be set to the xtx.
what you need to do disconect the battery (under the seat)leave for a bit and you should have ENDURO and NTARD flashing on the speedo (ENDURO IS FOR THE XTR AND THE NTARD IS FOR THE XTX) JUST TURN THE KEY WHEN IT SAYS ENDURO IT SHOULD RESET.
