SOURCE: replace rear brake pads

Remove right saddlebag, pull the two caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper. Do not open bleeder or disconnect line. You will need to push a large screwdriver between the old pads before removing them in order to push the pucks back into the caliper or the new pads will not spread enough to reinstall. Then pull the two smaller bolts from the caliper and the pads will fall out. The pads are different for inside and outside, so pay attention, and remember, after reinstalling, before riding, be sure to pump brake pedal, and it may take a few stops before brakes stop as effectively as before.

SOURCE: adjust clutch cable

If you have a stock cable you need a 9/16 and a 1/2 in. wrench. about 1/2 way downn the cable there is a rubber boot. pull the rubber boot over the adjustment. Loosen the liock nut and adjust the cable so you have aprox 1/8 to 1/16 in. slack in the handle. Re tighten the lock nut and pull the rubber back over the adjustment.

SOURCE: the harman kardon hd advanced audio system in my

You have to take your bike into a Harley Davidson dealership so they can plug it into the computer and check for trouble codes with your audio system. Sounds like you can still get this done under warranty but hurry up because if you dont have an extended warranty plan your warranty is only good for 2 years.

SOURCE: How do I change the front and rear brakes on a

Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.

How do I take off my touring seat?

Easy one, open your TourPak to get the passenger backrest out of the way. Look down in between the back of the seat and the Pak at the top of the rear fender. Near the seat or maybe slightly under it is a screw, with an extra long #2 Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screw, be careful not to drop it. Move the seat straight up, the front is only held by a slip in metal tongue on the bottom of the seat that fits in a welded on metal hoop on the MC frame.

Removing the seat

most Harley seats bolt on the fender at the back. Remove that and they slide right off.
