Could be. Check the battery and see if its fully charged. If it isn't. Clean the terminals and charge the battery. Then start the car and check the voltage with a volt meter. The battery alone should read 12 or 11 volts. With the alternator working properly it should read around 14 with the engine running. If it's way higher or under 12 with the engine running its probably the alternator. Replace that and have the battery load tested at the same time to make sure it isn't burned out.
Unlikely, if it starts the battery is good because it just started the car and the alternator is good because it charged the battery the prior time it was running. i would put some thought into a fuel supply problem, such as the pressure falling off rapidly after a start; or something getting hot in the ignition systrem and failing causing a loss of spark.

you will have to check the voltage whith the engine running .should be 13.6 or better
SOURCE: car keeps losing power and dying.
If at the begining the car would run at a longer time span than now replace the coil. Coils tend to die out slowly
