Engine cuts out when warm as though a kill switch
this is a common problem with a lot of motorcycles
there is a break in the main ignition wire
and the break is probably down by your head stock (front of the frame where the triple tees bolt on)
after a while wiring goes stiff and brittle and sometimes cracks and where the bike front end moves about the wiring sometimes cracks
just to check that start your bike and move the front end around from left to right
and see if it cuts out
if it is ok i would check your fuel air mixture
check for leaks in the inlet manifold
for a get you home idea use a condom as a temporary measure
remove the carb and remove the inlet manifold
slide the condom over the inlet manifold
cut a hole in the end of the condom
refit the inlet manifold nice and tight
slide the carb back in place and fit the air filter
this is just a temporary measure
and is no way a permanent fixture
and will do until you get a new inlet manifold
hope this helps
I need to remove the
hi
im not sure if that is your starter
sounds more like the starter clutch
and for that you will need to remove your clutch cover
also the clutch cage
the starter clutch is located behind the clutch cage
remove the clutch cage
and the starter clutch is either on the rear of the cage or a separate unit
it looks like a ring the size of the clutch cage
and has slots in it with roller bearings the slide in and out the often stick because of old oil residue
and if they stick it stops your starter engaging with the clutch housing to turn your engine over
hope this helps
I want to know the tyre pressure front and rear daytona 1200
Yup nice question. For any vehicle accurate tyre pressure will give you better tyre life, low running cost, etc. Here is a chart for car tyres
For bikes i havent found any chart. basically in india rear tyres having 100/90 18inch maximum tyre pressure is 32psi. front tyre having 2.75P or 80/90 18 inch uses 24 psi pressure.
and do check your tyre pressure twice a month.
Wheels lock up
if it has been sitting for a while, the brake pistons may have seized.
