How a motorcycle rectifiers works?
on many bikes a rectifier is similar to the attached photo. alternating current(AC) is produced by the flywheel and stator, which is put though a series of 6 diodes, to allow electrons to flow one way only.
Producing DC current, to charge the battery. This DC current must also be put through a regulator, so the battery doesnt overcharge.

I have had the bike a month its done its engine
During break in, everything breaks in. Valves need to be adjusted, bolts loosen(check your engine mounting bolts),steering neck bearings need to be adjusted, carbs need tuning, etc. 600 mile check ups often include changing the plugs along with the oil. You need to go over the whole bike with a fine tooth comb, it's probably a motor mount bolt.

Rattling nose
Place the bike on a stand or crate so the front wheel is off the ground. Give the front tyre a whack with a rubber mallet and listen for the rattle. Move balance of bike forward so rear is free of ground and repeat on rear tyre. Your bound to find some more rattles. Periodical maintenance should include test tighten all bolts, nuts and screws, because that's what holds you above the ground!!
Cheers.

Where to find the color code on yamaha yzf r125?
Hello, From my experence with most Motorcycles the Color Code is Not Easily Available to find like most Cars (under the Hood or in the Door Jam). I have Noticed on "All" Harleys and Some *** Bikes there is a "Label" with the Paint "Color Name" under the Fuel Tank. Also All Motorcycle Dealers have a "Paint Code Book" that lists All of the Painted Parts with the Colors by: Year, Make and Model. For Example: in 1997 Harleys used "States Blue Pearl" and in 2002 Harleys used "Luxury Blue" and 2005 Harleys used "Rich Sunglo Blue" & "Chopper Blue". So if you can't find a "Paint Label" on your bike? you shoud be able to call you Local Yamaha Dealers Parts Dept. and give him your: Year, Make & Model and he can tell you over the phone the Name of the Color of you Paint. Also "PPG" who is one of the Largest Mfg's of Automotive Paint also has a Computer listing of most Motorcycle Paints and can mix some up for you. Look in you local phone book under Automotive Paint Suppliers. Thanks Azharleybob

I have a 97 vmax & it feels like a slipping
I hope you havent put a friction modified oil in your machine If you have this will cause clutchslip if you have used the correct oil what your describing sounds like worn clutch friction plates which if they arent to worn can be adjusted before looking at any thing major does the clutch cable have adequate free play ie 1/8 to3/16 movement at the lever before it starts to take up as for the sqealing belt check that your rear wheel is correctly aligned that it is straight as well as makeing sure that the belt is not over tight just like a chain belts also need to have between 1/2 to 5/8 of an inch movement with the machine sitting on both wheels check your owners hand book some manufactures give specs for checking with the machine on the stand

Yamaha r125
Just remove the chain cover then bend the tab on the lockwasher away from the nut so you can then remove the nut. Install the new sprocket and put the assembly back together. Stock gearing is a 13 tooth front sprocket and 48 tooth rear sprocket. The stock chain is 112 links plus master link. The chain is DID
520D 112L. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

2005 kodiak can't get it spark already changed
it sounds as though you have a loose wire, start the bike as normal but as you do gently wiggle the wires near the kill switch and ignition ,if the bike starts and stops you know you are close to the problem also check the earth contacts on the coil to frame are good and replace the plug as this is cheap and not so uncommon.

Cant get a spark from yamaha kodiak 400
I did one about a year ago & it was the pulser coil(black plastic pickup next to magneto behind L/H engine cover) but
- I'm not suggesting that this is definatly the fault
- But id check it first
- I havent got the spec for it but got it from my Yamaha dealer easy enough(you'll need the wire colours as well)
- contact me back if you can't get them and i'll see what I can do(it'll be another week before I can get it as my phone is shot! blew the line clean out of the wall in a storm a couple of weeks ago)
Hope this helps
