...putting the key in and turning it to run and not have the engine shut off? the remote is an aftermarket item. remove it and throw it away. They last only a year or two and just quit working

When I use Remote Start my vehicle doesn't run long. With winter coming I'd like to get into a warmed up vehicle. What can I do? Start the car manually with the key and leave it to warm up.
