that holds the cable to the transmission is different? USE THE SHIFT LEVER FROM THE OLD TRANSMISSION. THE NEWER TRANSMISSIONS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTH SHIFT LEVERS. PROBLEM IS NOT THE CABLE OR ADJUSTMENT
