I have come across some old premium bonds of my late father. Is it possible to claim any prize won in the time myself or are they non transferable?

you need to get a certified copy of the ***** certificate and contact the place the bonds came from too validate you are the heir . then you will be able to cash them IF they are still valid. the bonds will have to be transferred to your name first

If a pending case in the SA courts is awaiting final signature but signor is in the hospital in SA, can a notary witness their signature and this document be presented in lieu of appearance in court?

Consult an attorney for legal advice. FIXYA unpaid volunteers give their opinions for free, but that is not worth much in court.

A builder gave me a quote for renovations to my house and we accepted the quote and paid him a month later his telling us he under quoted us and left the site

It all depends on what was in the contract you signed with him, or what was on the written quotation. If he just came and said, "it will cost you $10,500" and you paid him with no paperwork, you have no recourse. The only thing you can do is getting a building surveyor, and price the work and materials used, then use that against what you paid. Then go through small claims court. It is unlikely the builder will attend court, in which case you will win the case by default. The big problem is if you have no paperwork at all, just words.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz has stock which is held by Huntington Ingalls Industries. He died on Sept. 4, 2017. I am the executrix of his estate and need to redeem this stock. What do I need to do?

Not knowing more about the company itself and the way the stock was issued but as a layman the way you expressed it, once his estate was probated it becomes yours you just change the name on the stock account... Providing legal proof of course. https://ir.huntingtoningalls.com/investor-resources/transfer-agent

When CPS terminates a parental rights can the state come back to get them for child support

Hello, Sandra - I suggest you pose your question to your contact with the ISD office. You have not indicated the US state where you reside, so it is not possible to check the laws and state agency rules which would apply to your situation and that of your nephew. You may also wish to seek out the assistance of a family law attorney in your area regarding your situation. Note: Fixya.com, where you have posted your question, is a website intended for asking and answering questions about how to go about REPAIRING THINGS. I chose to answer your question as a kindness. Best wishes.

Hi, if there is a police report in which I gave information I shouldn’t have do I still have chances of having an indicated CPS report be unfounded?

There are two sides to this. There is a civil side and a criminal side. If CPS was there without police, then you don't have any rights and what you say can be given to the police, if the police were there and you are the subject of the investigation, you have the right to remain silent and that should have been explained. This whole thing is based on facts that we don't know and it is dependant on the CPS worker as to whether or not to go forward. I can tell you that you better get legal representation though if it goes forward.

Can a leagle guardian stop it's ward from seeing or talking to his or her family members and friends for no leagle reason?

No there is no legal reason why a person can not talk to whoever they wish unless you can prove possible harm or mental harm will happen to that person to stop communication , you will have to get a restraining order on the person and that action could backfire on you Why don't you take an alternative action of mediation or supervised meetings or go see a lawyer

My husbands card is ready for renewal .as we think his has got parkinson he can not sign the form

Call the company or the issuing bank and ask them. For security reasons I don't think I would post this question on the WWW. Or another option is to pay a lawyer good money to do just the same. His advice would probably do a "power of attorney" and give you the legal stance on his affairs. God Bless Him for God Blesses you for his care!
