Hey you can unlock your LG KC550 using the codes.I found an unlocking service for your mobile at Simpleunlocking.com ..You can use this and unlock your mobile easily.

You can but I dont suggest you get it wet. Put a piece of electrical tape over it to hold in place. You should consider purchasing a new phone.

To get PUK code please contact your service provider.they will provide you the default PUK so that you can open your phone.

Note: if you keep entering random/unknown numbers/codes, the sim card will be locked and will be rejected. It'll not be usable anymore.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

I have the same issue, even worse, my alarm goes off too. So phone shows signal bars and alarm icon, but nothing works until I switch it off and on. This is starting to be a huge problem because I rely on that alarm to wake me in the morning for my job. I'm seriously thinking of selling it or destroying it
