How to update windows drivers

Hi Kris!

Easy done M8!

Go to a PC Repiar store, they always keep the updates on their server, ask them to let you have a disk whit the updates.
In my town i can get it for free if i bring a empty disk to them, otherwise the charge me the disk. The updates its free, so dont let them charge you for that!

Good luck to you M8!

Hooking up to a EP-8KDA3J Motherboard?

You can find the online documentation on the manufacterers website; http://www.epox.nl/english/products/motherboard/8kda3.htm Their server is extremely slow however, so you may find this more useful; The file is 7.5MB http://temp.it-mate.co.uk/Epox_mu-8KDA3J_11.pdf Downloaded from DriverGuide (requires free membership if you want to download it from there yourself, instead of my server); http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=454065

Access to your Bios Setup & configure the Bios settings.

Features Setup Page : This page sets up some parameters for peripheral devices connected to the system.

OnBoard Floppy Controller : Enabled
Serial Port1 Address 3F8/IRQ4 : Enabled
OnBoard IR Port : Disabled
Parallel Port Address : 378
Parrllel Port Mode : ECP
ECP Mode DMA Chnnel : DMA3
Parallel Port IRQ : IRQ7
OnBoard PCI IDE Controller : Both
OnBoard SATA-IDE
: Enabled *(Make sure This is enabled)
Audio Device : Enabled

Ethernet Device : Enabled

If you have got a SATA III HDD, ie if it is a Western Digital Sata III you need to configure the jumpers to work with your older Sata interface port.(Only Sata 1 & 2 ports on your Mainboard Socket 478). As for Seagate Sata III HDD, the configuration is automatic.

If your 500GD HDD is not detected, try updating the BIOS!
A word of caution "Updating the Bios is not for the Novice" Do it at your own risk. Failure in updating the Bios may render your Mainboard useless.

Hope it helps.

PCCHips M955G V:3.0A. When i

You may have damaged the motherboard or memory... However, I don't see how you inserted the memory backwards. 168-pin memory is keyed and can usually be inserted only one way. A CMOS check sum error is usually caused by corrupted data in the CMOS memory. When the computer boots it adds all of the ones and zeros in the CMOS and drops the carry bit. It compares the resulting sum to a like (we hope) sum that was generated when the CMOS data was produced. If the two do not match, the CMOS is presumed corrupted, and an error is generated. The corruption can be caused by defective CMOS memory or power problems caused by a shorted motherboard, an expansion card that is not properly seated, a defective component, etc. I would check the battery with a multimeter and make sure it is good and installed correctly. Some older motherboards have a CMOS battery soldered onto the motherboard and have a jumper which must be changed to use an external battery. The battery on the motherboard should be removed if an external battery is installed. It can leak and damage the motherboard beyond repair. Do not use a soldering iron or anything hot to remove a battery form a motherboard. The battery can explode. I use a combination of pliers and diagonal cutters to remove these batteries. The computer must be unplugged when doing it and care must be employed (not an operation for an overly ambitious gorilla). Some batteries include the system clock, are usually black and rectangular, soldered to the motherboard, and are supposed to have a 10 year or greater lifetime. When they fail, the motherboard is usually a goner. Most motherboards have a jumper, which can be used to discharge (erase) the CMOS memory, and this may fix the problem. Be sure the computer is off and unplugged, move the jumper to the discharge position, wait 10 minutes, move it to the normal position, attach the power cord, and turn-on your computer. Some motherboards can be damaged it the computer is powered on with the jumper in the discharge position

My system sound hardware is fault how can to relif

Firstly check the volume is not low or muted on both windows and the speakers. In windows click the speaker icon in the bottom right of your screen, check the volume is turned up. Then click mixer or advanced and check that all volumes are turned up.
If using a laptop, check that the hotkey control for volume is on. You will see an audio icon on one of your ‘F’ keys, hold the Fn button located near the ctrl and press the volume function key.
Next open Device Manager from Control Panel and check there are no yellow exclamation marks on any drivers. If there are then you need a new driver.
If you are still having issues the sound card may be faulty, this is usually integrated into the motherboard. In a desktop PC you could buy a new PCI soundcard if you have a spare PCI slot in your machine.
You need to goto the manufacturers website, find their support section and there should be a list of drivers for your specific machine. Installing these should resolve your problem. I have a list of links to most manufacturers drivers on my website.
Hope this helps,

Bios not detecting 320gb sata drive

Double check the jumper configuration, You might also want to check the cables and ports incase that's the problem because a properly jumpered SATA drive shouldn't have any compatibility issues. Also check if *********** board supports the SATA ? Let me know if this works..thanks. Mike

M955g v: 3.0a Bios changes time and date back

It looks like you have the latest BIOS, but I would flash it again, evidently something went wrong, if flashing with v3.0 doesn't work, go to the ver before and re-flash.
