Polar S150 Heart Rate Monitor - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do you rejuvenate the Polar T41 strap
I managed to get into my Polar T41 chest band by very careful dissecting off the top of the casing (looking at it from the front). Has a removable / replaceable CR 2354 battery, with careful leverage, from that open side.($8 from Amazon)
Going to give it a go for that price and see if it can be brought back to life. Will need a little bit of patching/taping when battery in place - but hey, $8 repair rather than $129 replacement?
Battery replacement
Mine had a Panasonic CR2205 battery in it. I replaced it and Voila! There is a funky clip holding the battery in place. I used a tiny flat head screw driver and put it in the side where it looked like it fit and the clip popped off enabling me to free the battery.Happy aerobics!
How do I set the

Setting Polar CE0537
You do not have the right model number. For some reason, Polar puts the CE0537 in big numbers on the back of the case. The real model number on my unit was in very light engraving right above the words "Polar Electro" on the back of the case. Looks like they have an engraving problem where both the model and serial number are very hard to read. If it helps, my model was S120 and I found the manual quickly on the polar site. The polar site also has the location of model numbers in their FAQ area.

Step 1: Remove the old battery so you can find a replacement. Somewhere should sell you the battery alone, even if they won't do the replacement for you.
Step 2: If you're not going to use this in a wet environment just put the new battery in and don't worry about the seals. Just be careful when you clean it. For example, use a damp cloth but don't immerse it.
Step 2b: If you really want to seal it get some silicon seal from a hardware store or maybe an outdoor store. Line the edge of the battery compartment where the cover meets the compartment and replace the cover. Let it set and you should be good.
What is an interest rate swap and will both parties profit from it?
Profit
is not the motivation for the interest rate swap but mainly to reduce
risk for the borrower and a commission for the bank. It is beneficial to
both parties. The borrower is happy that it has reduced the risk of
future losses as the loan interest is fixed and no longer based on a
variable interest while the bank earned something from the transaction.
Swapping is the most complex financial tool that is being used but a
necessary transaction for corporations and companies. If you are
planning to go for interest rate swapping, you need to understand well
how it works before you embark on it. Berg Interest Rate Swaps can help you.

Hi dear_patrici,
If the Polar heart rate monitor's screen is frozen and seems like
there's no reaction from any of the buttons when pressed you need to reset the wrist unit.
To reset, just press all the buttons at the same time for 3-4 seconds.
Your settings will be saved except for the time and date.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using Fixya.
Chest strap stopped working
This can be caused by a number of factors from dead battery to lost signal. I have on my tips and tricks page a checklist for HR signals and causes for disruption.
If it is the Battery then...
#1 - Hard strap, only remedy is too replace, batteries are sealed in.
#2 - Soft strap (wearlink), these have a replaceable battery 2025 and you can do this yourself.
I have a Polar F11,
If you visit www.polarusa.com they have guidelines and life expectancies, it is also in your owners manual.
The HR reading can be caused by several issues some environmental some within the watch or strap, please visit my tips and tricks page for a detailed listing as well as if you need a new owners manual.
On the straps for an F11 those have a user replaceable battery, your battery may be the thing that is wearing out, not the whole strap. Try a new battery in the strap (wearlink connector) before buying an entire new strap.
The gels work by providing greater conductivity, yes they work, but you may or may not need it. depends on why you are having a signal issue.

The checksum failure is an indication of a bad console on this model. If the machine is brand new then it still has a warranty. Contact the number on the front of your manual they will replace it for free. Good luck, Tim
Setting an hourly alarm on an F5 Polar heart rate monitor.
The only alarms available to use for that watch is your heart rate for exercise and a daily alarm. Unfortunately it does not have the hourly alarm feature. I wish it did I am a personal trainer and hourly chimes would help to keep me on time but my rs200 doesn't have the feature either. Sorry :)
