How to set pocket watch
Hi John, There are several possiblitites depending on the watch you have. If it is a battery watch you set it like most modern watches by pulling the pendant and the hands should move. If it is a vintage watch it may set the same way. If gentle pulling the crown does not work try this. Your watch may be a lever set watch. This requires removing the crystal of your watch will be screwed on. If it doesn't loosen easily try putting the watch between your palms and twist. Once the crystal and bezel loosen remove it and set it aside. Now look near the 2 o'clock position. A lever set watch will have a small metal piece sticking up that is designed to be hooked with your fingernail and pulled out. When in the out position your watch will now be in the setting position and your hands will move when you rotate the crown. After setting push the lever back in and you will now be in the winding position. Replace the crystal and carefully screw it down but not too tightly. There are other systems but I am guessing this will cover your watch. Merry Christmas
IT IS AN ORVIS AUTOMATIC
Thank you for contacting FixYa.
When you first receive your automatic watch, you must give the watch an initial pre-wind. If you wear it everyday, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear. Your watch does not t keep time if you do not wear it constantly. The advantages are that you will never have to replace a battery, the watch keeps great time when it is running, and most of all, this type of movement is exactly what the originals use! If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24-hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweler can service these watches.
Best regards! Jewel
How do I set time.? No manual, remote does not work.
- Buttons on the Device: Look for any buttons on the device itself. Sometimes, there are buttons that allow you to navigate through menus and adjust settings directly on the device.
- Trial and Error: Try pressing different buttons on the device to see if any of them bring up a menu for setting the time. Look for buttons labeled "Menu," "Setup," "Clock," or similar.
- Long Press: Sometimes, pressing and holding certain buttons on the device can activate different functions. Try pressing and holding various buttons to see if it triggers a menu for setting the time.
- Google Search: If you know the model number of your Ultech device, try searching online for the manual. Many manuals are available for download from manufacturer websites or other online sources.
- Contact Manufacturer: If you're unable to find the manual online or if you're still having trouble setting the time, try reaching out to Ultech's customer support. They may be able to provide you with guidance on how to set the time on your device.
- Replace Remote Batteries: If the remote isn't working, try replacing the batteries. Sometimes, a non-functional remote can be as simple as dead batteries.

Skmei watch 1163- Daylight savings time- how to set
To set the Daylight Savings Time on your SKMEI 1163 watch, first press and hold the "MODE" button for approximately three seconds until the "SET" mode appears. Then, press the "MODE" button again until you reach the "DST" mode. Use the "ALARM ON/OFF" button to toggle between "ON" and "OFF" for Daylight Savings Time. Once you have set your desired option, press the "MODE" button again to confirm and exit the setting mode. Your watch should now display the correct time, accounting for Daylight Savings Time.

Bottom of watch by second hand....what is symbol
You've probably heard people go on and on about the "sweep" or talk about how top quality watches don't make that tell-tale "tick-tock." For all intents and purposes, these people are right. When you pick up a Cartier or Chopard, the tiny hand measuring the passage of seconds glides effortlessly, like a toothless hockey player. In actuality, all wristwatches tick-tock. However, in a true quality watch, the internal mechanism (the movement) is so finely tuned and so well constructed, that these ticks happen as often as nine times a second, producing a flawless sweep. This is the difference between a five-dollar movement and a movement costing hundreds of dollars.

I have a sunbeam 882-1285 and can't set the chimes to match the time of day, need help
I have owned this exact clock for 30 years. Syncing the chimes with the time is very simple.1. Flip the second switch from "Start" to "Set."2. Use the thumbwheel to move the hands to the desired time.3. Use the four "H" and "M" buttons to set the time for the chime. — For example, if the desired time is 12:05, press the first button 1 time, the second button 2 times, skip the third button for 0, and then press the fourth button 5 times. — If the desired time is 9:00, you only need to press the second button 9 times (all unpressed buttons default to 0).4. When you're ready for the clock to begin using the time you've set, flip the switch from "Set" to "Start." That's it! It's that easy.
