i have this rival crock pot unit,but need the glass top with handle and the Crock removable bowl that fits on the inside

I had a similar shattering experience cooking adzuki beans on low, though I'd left them alone during the day. The lid was intact and unscratched to the best of my knowledge. Have others experienced this problem?

Believe it or not in this day and age, although seemingly wasteful, it is much cheaper to simply purchase an entirely new unit instead of the cost of a replacement liner and the S/H.

The sealing strip on the machine uses a woven fiberglas tape with a teflon coating Sealing line on the machine and notice a tiny bump where the heat tape covers the heating element. I think it's something got caught under there so carefully lift the tape with the tip of my pocket knife....

If the teflon coating is worn, the plastic bag doesn't stick to the tape, leaving a hole there.

The company wont provide you the replacement element or tape.

So try to dab a bit of silicone to the spot and hope that it works long enough to finish the hops.
