KitchenAid KHM3 Classic Hand Mixer Questions & Answers
Kitchen aid khm3wh beaters will not stay in mixer
I fixed mine (my wife's). Kitchenaid 3-Speed Hand Mixer KHM3WH. Here's how I did it.This is a pretty old mixer. My wife bought it at a thrift store for $1. She brought it home, we found the beaters and whisk beaters on eBay. Paid $34.00 for both sets of beaters, but when we received them we found they would not stay in the mixer. Oh we also bought the alternative/replacement beaters from Sears, parts online. I don't think those will work with my fix. However with some $0.92 rubber washers from Lowe's and a heavy duty paperclip I fixed the mixer, and it works flawlessly. Maybe some stainless steel wire would be a better, more permanent fix.
KitchenAid hand mixer model#KHM5AP beaters hit each other
I have never seen one of these mixers myself but from your description it sounds like the gears are out of timing. Plugs covering screws often get damaged on removal, they are pretty but not really a necessary part. If you cannot get something sharp down the side to flick it out you will need to skewer a hole in the middle to get a bit more leverage on it. When you have changed the gear timing check that the beaters miss each other before you put the screws back in.
KitchenAid Ultr Power Soft Start
Hi,your mixer is only encountering a minor problem which can be fixed at a reasonable cost, the bolt holding it in the right position is weak and only needs a replacement,so i will suggest you save your money from buying another mixer, and fix your mixer.
Thanks and take care
My kitchenaid hand mixer beaters knock into each
This happened to me also, and it was because one of the beaters was no longer straight (bent just slightly, but enough). I found a replacement beater at a thrift store, and now it is fine. There were several replacement beaters at the thrift store... I'm guessing because many of the KA hand mixers are starting to die (the beaters don't 'click' in anymore).
