Overheated fridge
Hi,I have searched the Whirlpool tech website and found nothing showing an issue as this. I haven't even located another related to warm temps in a refer reported in the last 2 years as an issue. With this being said, Are the lights shutting off when the door are closed? Are the door sealed completely all the way around both doors? Is there any frost in the freezer at the back wall about halfway down from the top down to the bottom? Here is my logic, if by chance someone or somehow the doors where left open or not closing completely, this would cause a air flow restriction and will cause high temps within the refrigerator section only. Normally does not effect the freezer to much, could slow ice production though. After you look around the unit inside and out see if you can find ice or frost on the walls half way down the unit inside.Let me know and I can give you pointers as to remove the ice if found. I am against the use of blow dryers! Too much plastic.Good Luck, let me know what you find. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Kscs25fkss00 ice maker leaking when making ice,
Did you check to see if the ice maker has been changed prior to this
problem and if so was it a correct replacement for this refer by
model #? Has the module been changed? Again, correct part ?
Is the water adjustment screw on the module incorrectly set ?
The last question to your problem is, has hard water conditions caused the mold to become rough due to the coating separating
from the metal ? This causes the water to not flow correctly into
the total mold .
Hope this helps a little.

I have kitchen aid superba the icemaker works
I have had this issue with my french door kitchen aid freezer drawer. I have a toddler who sometimes gets into the drawer. If it is left open just a hair, it will melt everything completely and water leaks out all over the floor. The drain gets clogged when the door gets pushed back in for a tight seal and freezes again.Try to focus on keeping a really tight seal every time you open and then close the freezer...its almost like you have to TRY to close it hard to ensure it is closed. Total pain, but it works. When the door is closed tight, it stays like it is supposed to .
Door Handle Loose and tightening with allen wrench does NOT work ...
Just did this on mine today. Use an allen wrench to back off both the upper and lower set screws
(Note: you do not need to back them all the way out). The handle will
then easily pull away from the door. With a 1/4" socket, tighten the
screws holding the upper and lower lugs on the door. Place the handle
back on and tighten the upper and lower set screws.
Drain pan leaking?
there is a drip pan located underneath you ref but most likely your prob is a plugged drain line coming from the freezer. when you ref goes into automatic def the water doesnt run out into the drip pan but instead onto your floor..
you can clean the drain line by removing the rear cover in the freezer compartment and using hot water to thaw the drain below the evap coil.
I HATE my KitchenAid Refrigerator. It has been
Hi,
I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.
I i got you correct, the buzzing noise is coming from compressor or around that area. If yes, there could be 2 probabilities. Either it is faulty compressor relay or compressor. Compressor's usually have 5 years warranty and they usually fail very rare.
This
is not an issue with defrost components or temp. control .If you have
experience in repairing appliances, could take all precautions
necessary and use multimeter - You could do a continuity check on
compressor motor and all combination's. An infinity value on multimeter
would confirm bad compressor.
On the side of the compressor you will see a box
(maybe a cover) remove the cover if it has one and then remove the wire
harness. next you will see the relay with the capacitor mounted to it.
give the relay a tug and pull it off the side of the compressor. once
you have it off pull the capacitor off and then give the relay a shake.
If it rattles the relay is bad. if the relay does not rattle the
compressor is bad and you will need to call a service guy to replace the
compressor.
This compressor relay could cause cooling problems. So, i would not jump on to the conclusion that whether motherboard is at fault or any of the defrosting element. This buzzing or clicking noise is more often from compressor or around that area which makes it more prudent to check compressor relay.
Let me know, once you check those.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Ps - Do accept my solution,if it has been of any help so that i could get the credit for my time.
Water leaking at bootom of freezer door
I would check the water connection under the toe plate....follow the water line that comes out of the freezer door.. check if that is where your leak is coming from..
Ksrs25ikss01 kitchen aid fridge portion not
1.check if the fan inside the freezer is running
2. if ref runs none stop, defrost timer is out.
3. or it could be the high limit that paired in series with the defrost heater
good luck!
