Ice Maker will not stop making ice

On Your KitchenAid Superba they use an electric eye receiver board part# 4389102. You might want to try cleaning your icebin and the electric eye to see if that works first.http://www.on-timeappliance.com/refrigeratorrepair.html

The fridge is on but not cooling

have you moved the refrigerator lately, if so turn it off and let it stand 24 hours before turning back on again. Something to do with displacement of gasses and letting them settle. if not there is a thermo controle in side, that you can set the temp at and it may have stuck. Turn it up and down and the fridge should fire up again.

Not making ice

dear owittione perhaps the tray if its plastic maybe its cracked and the water drains out while filling check to see if there is a clump of ice in the bin and if so replace the ice tray no if is metal maybe the same thing is happening also check for the clump of ice in the bin. Now if you dont hear any water going in the ice tray maybe the magnetic valve in the back of the fridge is bunded out or the hose from the tap to the valves has a leak or the hose from the valve to the ice tray has a leak . Check around for water puddles if formed. Those are the probable causes that can lead to your problem ofcourse if the refrigerator over all is working fine. good luck. Regards Tony

I am a consumer like you. Have you found a solution to your problem using fixya. I have a similar problem but am not getting help

first try a total thaw out leave the fridge doors open for a couple of days in order to make sure the ice that perhaps formed in the freezer will melt compleatly and try again if that works for a week or two then stars acting up again perhaps the heating elements in the freezer dont work or the clixon (cout out switch) is faulty needs replacing . hope this does the trick...good luck

I have a Kitchenaid model ksrk25 that the water

It is rare that both sides of the water control valve go bad at the same time, but possible. I will need someone to examine the dual water control valve on rear near floor on the back of your refrigerator. Click here for a=> KSRK25FVBL00 Parts Manual Test the dual water control valve with a multi meter set for 120 VAC and place the probes into the wires that attach to the dual water control dispenser side and have someone press the water dispense control in fountain. With the dispense water pressed look for voltage on your multi-meter. Use care not to touch probes or bare wires to prevent getting shocked while testing. If you do not already have Adobe Reader on your computer click here first=> Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) You can also check the water control valve for ice maker by testing the ohm value first by removal of the front cover on ice maker and then placing the test meter probes in to the N and V opening You should get 150 to 350 ohm's of resistance. Also if your ice maker is dry and has no water then fill with tap water and then allow to freeze. If Ice drops into ice bin and then does not refill with water will point to repacing the water valve. If the clip is not below this post click here=> Broken Ice Maker Repair You also can find parts and user manuals by clicking HERE Sometimes the ice maker is the problem with the water control valve not working on the ice maker side. 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Watching the clip is really a great way of explaining how to test ice maker and replacing water control valve if needed. Leaking water dispenser

Hello,

The reason the water dispenser keeps dripping is because of a faulty water inlet that instead of fully closing yet it is staying open justa wee bit and seeping water through it. By replacing the water valve it will stop that drip.
The part number for that water inlet valve is W10247725 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

Ice and Water Dispenser not working on KSCS25FKSS01 KIT.AIDE MODEL

This is a known manufacturing defect. The problem is that the wire that some of the wires that run between the door and the rest of the refrigerator have broken and, believe it or not, the only solution is to replace the entire freezer door. Whirlpool is covering the cost under a hidden warranty...call them and describe the problem.

Kitchen Aid side by side ksra2scnss00 ice maker

The simple solution for your refrigerator is to replace dual water control valve. For example if your model was the IKSCS25INSS the replacement part would be the=> W10247725 Water Inlet Valve It also could be your ice maker itself so if the ice slots ar empty fill with tap water and allow to freeze. If the ice freezes and drops into the ice bucket and then does not refill with water then replace the water control valve. If not then it nis possible the ice maker is defective and will need replaced. Not knowing the correct model number I think it wouls better that you call Repair Clinic at 1-800-269-2609 and they will be happy to help you find the correct ice maker. 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Should you have any questions I will be here to assist you, Thank You, Sea Breeze believe you have your model number wrong so I will give you this link=> product literature search 10_4_2011_6_35_26_am.jpg10_4_2011_6_50_14_am.jpg

My kitchenaid model-ksra22c is not making ice but

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

NOTE: This

But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up

Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

The SuperBA does not cool either the refrigerator

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

Ice maker is overflowing and causing icicles in

Hello,

The adjustment screw is under the cover on the front of the icemaker...it is only a very small adjustment and by adjusting it very likely it will have no bearing on stopping the icicles from forming on the i/m but instead what the problem is,is the water inlet valve is not fully closing. This tip i wrote covers the problem with the water valve and why its causing icicles in the freezer.
