Most likely some water got under the top near the knob shafts while cleaning or something boiled over. Despite the cause, the switch or switches are shorting out and we're talking 120 volts so it could be dangerous. Unplug the power cord under the counter and let it all dry for a day or 2, you could speed that up with a hairdryer but the burners will still light with a match so why rush it?  Good luck and don't use so much water when cleaning.

I just bought a 16 pack of the WB02T10461 GE replacement feet on ebay for $13 (free shipping). We'll see if they fit, but the pic indicates they should be an good match.

Hi, Need model number of your range to answer this question. Is this gas or electric? Is this a freestanding range or cooktop because I only can find information on ranges with this fault code given. All should EEPROM communication error which is a communication error on start up. when the top was damaged was the unit being used? Was water or liquid a factor when this damage happened? IF YOU DONT HEAR IT CLICKS, MOST LIKELY PROBLEM IS WITH SPARK MODULE, IF YOU HEAR IT DOES CLICK, BUT GAS DOES NOT IGNITE, CHECK IF IGNITERS FOR CRACKS OF CERAMIC INSULATION, THEN ITS BAD IGNITER. IN SOME CASES IT MIGHT BE A SPARK SWITCH. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO, IT WILL GIVE YOU AN IDEA HOW THEY MADE, AND WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG. HOPE IT HELPS.
