If the light is still then means that either the water tank is empty or the bean hopper is empty.
If the light is blinking then the Dump box, brew group, or drip tray not properly positioned or service door not closed.
So you can make a very good visual check one by one if they are in right position.
Good luck.

As soon as you put in water it leaks everywhere

at the bottom of the water tank there is a valve which is consist from a spring and plastic tab with "O" ring.
This valve and where is match with the base on the machine is dirty or full of scale or even bend or damage so as soon as you place the water tank back to the machine this valve does not fit excactly on the base threfore is leaking all over the machine.
First I sugest before you place the tank in place to inspect it over the sing press it with your finger and try to see there is something wrong as I mention above.
Then make a visual insect on the machine where the valve shoult fit.
Good luck

Leaking from the bottom

If it does it whenever the tank is put on the machine then the hose from the tank is disconnected.
If it does it when the machine is brewing coffee or after, then clean the chamber behind the brew unit, under the white plastic valve.
If it is leaking when making steam or hot water then the booster boilerhas a leak.

Saeco vienna leaks CLEAR water from under the machine.

The leaking is from the water pipe coming from the boiler thought the solenoid valve to coffee group. Their are many points that this leak can be so the only way to find it is to run the machine completly open without the plastic sides. The most posible postion is the plastic hose conected on the coffee group and some times you will have to place it back in position very easy.
Good luck.

I find that the panarello on the Vienna oveer-froths the milk and makes too many large bubbles as opposed to the preferred micro bubbles. The Gaggia Panarello Replacement Wands will work as a better replacement and the stainless steel one makes much better foam. I found Seattle Coffee Gear sells them for a reasonable price, $40 for the Stainless, and $20 for the plastic:

HI You might need new burrs. When the burrs get dull, they will crush the beans instead of grinding them into small grounds. You start to get powder instead of grinds. They will slow the extraction, but then the next time they will produce the correct shot.

There are so many places to check, but lets check the small chamber under the white plastic valve, which sits behind the brew unit, clean out the chamber of coffee grounds. If that is not the cause then, you will have to open the machine to find the leak.

The steam function on my

You may have to prime the machine. First, make sure the tank is full. Then remove the sump hose and blow into it for about ten seconds. Then (very carefully) turn on all switches except the brew switch and let the machine heat up. To prime, just turn on the brew switch until you hear or see steam come from the pressure head. Keep your hands clear during this process!!! Now, after the ready light goes out on the brew switch, turn the steam valve on full for a 30 second duration. You should be all set to enjoy your cappachino/espresso once again. If this all fails to solve your problem than the heating element is gone and needs replacement. Thank you. Dana
