Don't forget to change your water filter also. A clogged refrigerator - ice maker water filter can reduce the water pressure so much that the water valve will not function properly in the ice maker. The intake water line could also be frozen where it enters the freezer area causing a blockage.
FREEZER IS WHERE THE FRIG GET'S COLD AIR. IF BY NOW YOU HAVE FOUND THAT THE FRIG IS INOPERATIVE. CHECK THE OVERLOAD RELAY ON COMPRESSOR. HAD TO REPLACE ONE ON MINE PART WAS ABOUT $60
sounds like the compressor or relay went out. if the compressor is hot turn off and let cool to room temp. and try it then [a few hours] , if it is not hot then replace the relay on the compressor.

Coldspot 106. Model
This model refrigerator is a relatively small refrigerator. It is a Freezer on top model, and Sears documents lists this unit at 18.1 cu ft. I hope that answers your question about capacity.
I'm glad I could help. If you need anything else, just let me know.
In reality, when you buy a replacement, you buy by dimensions to fit the space not cubic feet of the old one. Go to Home Depot armed with a tape measure.

Turn it off by removing the wall plug for 10 minutes. This will do a power rest to the control electronics. This is a bottom mounted freezer, so cold air for the fridge is vented upwards by a fan. Make sure it is running and there are no ice blockages. Strangely they call the fan in the fridge an
Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor. The part is obsolete anyway.
If it normally says 4 for the fridge, that would be 4 degrees Centigrade, which means the freezer should show minus 18'C. Or 36'F Fridge / 0' F Freezer/
This shows all the parts.

Not normally a flapper. There is a trap on the rear outside cabinet just below the level of the freezer. Remove it and soak in hot water and bleach for 20 minutes, then flush all the debris out, shake it dry and reinstall.

Put some Vaseline on the O-Ring to help it slide into place. Make sure it is properly inserted at the beginning.
If the filter is located inside the refrigerator:
Turn off the ice maker.
Push the eject button.
Pull the filter out of the housing.
Push the new filter into the housing until it clicks.
Turn on the ice maker.
Run 2 gallons of water through the water dispenser to purge air and residue.
