Velodyne DPS-12 Subwoofer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Where is fuse in velodyne dps-12
Just a guess, but the drawing in the manual shows a fuse rating of 2 amps where the power cord enters the box. Is this a combination fuse/connector. Have you looked if the rocker switch accommodates a fuse? Sorry if no help.
Blinking night light
Night mode limits the maximum output of the subwoofer for later night listening or to be more considerate of close neighbors. Press the night button to turn the night mode feature on or off. Night
mode, when active, is indicated by the flashing blue power LED.
Subwoofer is not working
Please check the pins of the plug (round one connecting woofer and speaker). Most probably one or more of the pins could have been bent. You can straighten it with a long and strong needle. All the 10 or more pins need to be seated in the slot. Each pin has a specific function for the sound system.I tried this to my computer speaker Altec Lansing VS2521 and it was successful. I have already posted my method after I made a query like you. If my suggestion does not work be patient for a while and apply your mind exclusively on the problem and you will also come across a solution. Any way keep us informed of your progress.

Lighten hit my house
Most likely either the power supply is bad or there is one or more faulty capacitor in the circuit board.

It may be the power transformer.
This is mounted to the back panel of the amp.
You could try this.
Remove the amp from the cabinet, 4 screws, it may have a plastic cover on the insdie, take this off, you will see the xformer, try tightening the screws holding the xformer, see if that stops the hum.
If that does not work, you could get a few thin plastic or rubber washers and put them under three of the screws holding the xformer.
this may work on solvinhg the problem, then it may not.
A few other things you can check is the polarity of the outlet the unit is pluged into. It could be reversed.
Check your system grounds, you could have a minor ground loop.
Also check your interconects, are they running by anything that could cause interference.
How to connect pioneer reviever to velodyne subwoofer
Look for the sub pre out on the back of your amp and connect a sub cable to this and next to the LFE or phono type input on the back of the sub ,if it has two inputs left and right pick the left side ,set the cross over to suit your system and speakers,if you are not sure set the cross over to 80 hertz, this is a thx standard.
hope this helps.

Velodyne subwoofer
First make sure that the cables are properly connected up. Make sure that the output of the amplifier feeding the sub is working properly and has no faults.
If the above is okay, it is possible that the power supply in the sub, and or the output stage has a failure. In this case the sub will require shop service to have it working again.

Major buzz/Humming sound coming from my subwoofer
Well there are only a few reasons i can think of that just might be the reason behind said buzzing.
1. It may be connected to another power source ( amplified or powered supply ) or incorrectly connected. It may also be too close to said power supply.Try letting the dog (sub) out on his leash a little Drag out the manual that came with the sub, and check the correct procedure for your type of setup.
**People do read manuals still don't they ?**
2.The only other problem i have heard of is port noise in low registers.
Keep the the port area clean, as it may suck up dirt, or even worse,
small children!
3. However, if you're considering placing this subwoofer in a cabinet, I'd
recommend allowing ample breathing room for the heat sink. This can also be done by drilling smaller holes in the cabinet ( 8-12 mm holes - with the owners permission of course) but please do remember to keep the port area clean.
4. The product ie: Velodyne DPS-12 Subwoofer, came with a bad power supply, presuming it is new, check your warranty.
(not very likely - see also scenarios 1, 2 or 3.)
Velodyne has been making subs forever and do it well.
Volodyne dps 12
maybe its the amplifier that does not take too much power to the speaker you need to buy a new amplifier and the sound will not cutoff.
