As long as you remember / know the email address associated with your ICQ account you can easily recover it. Just use the link I will provide at the bottom of my answer here, it says password but it will recover your ICQ number by just typing in your email in the box on the page...

You'll have to register your name to a mod on ICQ.

1. Contact !ChanServ through a PM.
2. Type /join #ophelp to !ChanServ
3. You will receive a PM from WatchDog explaining how to register on ICQ:

<Watchdog> Greetings, due to the recent changes, kindly make sure you have a Registered nickname by Typing
<Watchdog> /msg nickserv Register Password Email
<Watchdog> An Authentication email will be sent to your entered email, authenticate your registration with the code that will be sent to you.
<Watchdog> Additional commands can be as following
<Watchdog> /msg nickserv identify Password (to identify as the owner of the nickname each time you login)
<Watchdog> /msg nickserv set hidemail on (to prevent users from finding your email through nickserv's info)
<Watchdog> /msg nickserv set enforce on (to prevent anyone else from using your nickname unless they identify with the correct password).

when you are going to use icq make sure you get laptop out of going to sleep mode, i have found that desktops do same thign when going to sleep not only does desktop sleep monitor also, it puts programs that you left open to sleep.

cant send icq msgs to offline contacts for one , another could be sending too big of a msg,, and it is incompatable with aim or miranda software

contact icq directly for icq number, from what i understand that after you register it will give you an icq number we just cant use your email address and set up an account for you , you have to do that yourself

if you already a registered user than its icq problem if you are not a registered user then reguster.

what causes you to be banned? if you wish to use icq chat then you need to abide by their rules, i am guessing that since you have been banned numerous amount of times. they probably will not let you back in. you also need to be a registered member

well if your email account is closed u can do one of 2 things,, make a new icq account with current enail or contact icq support
