Jura beans won't grind

I just called Jura support and they talked me through this SIMPLE solution and it worked right away. Change the grind setting *while the grinder is a spinning*. If you don’t do it while its spinning nothing will happen.

Don’t hesitate to call Jura - their support team is very good.

The coffee is not coming out of the coffee spout

I had a similar problem. I always religiously cleaned the machine when prompted but nonetheless I reached a point where coffee quit coming out of one nozzle. I tried the suggestion to stick a wire up the nozzle to dislodge any residue that was blocking the water. That helped a little and then it did not next time. So I USED A DENTAL WATER PICK on both nozzles and that cleared up the problem completely. MUCH BETTER than wire or paperclip.

The water doesn't come out from the cofee spout

Once coffee is extracted, its passage from the brew group to the cup is a simple gravity flow. There is no pressure to push its flow. Layers of dried coffee clog the passage. In your machine this is advanced clogging or the water is not passing through the coffee and being drained into the tray. To prevent this, use rinse cycle every day after coffee making is completed. Descale the machine using Manual descaling method. Do not use Filter cartridges as the same are expensive & ineffective. . . Jura impressa s8, the display shows" please wait" and doesn't switch to the Coffee Ready.

This error is because: 1- Flow meter is blocked & not sending signal of water flow. 2- Entire hydraulic system is filled with Calcium deposits and slowed down flow of water. Solution: 1- Open the machine and manually clean flow meter. It is located between the water tank & the pump. 2- Follow this by manually descaling the machine. Seelink. Do not use automatic descaling method suggested by Jura. Stop using Filter cartridges as the machine reminders for descaling are silenced by use of filters. My Capresso s8's display is blinking and making strange noise

All Jura machines in the series C, E, F, J, S & Z models have the same problem. The Jura recommended maintenance is insufficient or erroneous: 1- When new machine is set up, the owners click OK for use of Filter cartridges. This helps only to display reminders for replacing the filter. 2- The instruction also advises, regular use of Filters, eliminates descaling the machine. That is not accurate. Reminders for descaling are delayed or eliminated. This allows accumulation of Calcium deposits in the entire hydraulic and coffee system. 3- Cleaning tables recommended & sold by Jura do not remove Calcium deposits in the coffee/water passages. The automatic descaling method recommended by Jura also leaves the coffee side of the machine unclean. The error message in your machine is due to Calcium deposits in the Brew group, coffee outlet & the faucet dispensing coffee in the cup. I suggest all Jura machine owners should manually descale machine. Manually descaling includes use of 6 to 10 rinse cycles with descaling solution in the water tank. The error message "Clean Machine" is accurate & pointing to descaling the Brew group, coffee outlet tube and coffee dispensing faucet by using rinse cycles.

After the rinse cycles are complete, refill Descaling solution & continue descaling the rest of the machine using hot water dispensing function, until the tank is empty. Finally, give a final flushing of machine to flush out remaining descaling solution inside the machine. Press steam fill water

You can check the water valve, it may become clogged. But you should not disassemble machine if you are not specialist. Contact Jura service center if your machine still under warranty.

WATER LEAKS BOTTOM OF UNIT WHEN IS MAKING COFFEE

Hi,
Below are solutions for a leaking coffee maker and how to decalcify the machine?
Tools and Materials needed to fix this problem are as:
* White Vinegar * Fresh Water * Volt-ohm Meter * Screwdriver
Step 1 - Clean
If your coffee maker seems to be clogged, try cleaning it with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Assuming that your coffee maker has a 12 cup capacity you will want to use 11 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of water. Fill the coffee pot to the 11 cup mark with vinegar and then fill it to the 12 cup mark with water.
Pour this mixture into the reservoir and turn on the coffee maker, allowing it to run through a brewing cycle as if you were making a pot of coffee. By doing this you will dissolve any build up in your coffee maker. If the coffee maker is leaking because the pump is clogged, then this might clear the clog and stop the leaking. If it has been a while since you last cleaned your coffee maker, you may need to run the vinegar through more than one cleaning cycle to dissolve all of the buildup.
Step 2 - Pump Valve
Unplug the coffee maker and examine the pump valve. If the pump valve is broken or has a clog, then the water will not be able to rise up and flow through the fill tube. When the coffee maker is turned on, the water needs to go someplace. If it cannot flow through the fill tube, then it may leak onto the countertop. If the pump in your coffee maker is sealed, you will need to replace the whole pump. If the pump is not sealed you should check it to ensure it is not clogged with coffee grounds or mineral deposits.
Step 3 - Brew Switch
Examine the brewing switch to ensure that is working. To get to the brewing switch, remove the base plate. Next, you will need to test the switch with your volt-ohm meter. Touch the tester to the RX1 scale. If it reads 0 ohms then you will know that the switch works fine. If it gives you a number other than 0 then it is time to replace the switch.
Step 4 - Tube Connectors
If the coffee maker is leaking or sputtering then you should take a look at the tube connectors. Many times, a leaky coffee maker is caused by faulty tube connectors. If you find the leak is in an elbow, clean the surfaces before you replace it. If the tube connector leaks, replace both the tube and the elbow so that you can be sure the pieces will both fit together properly.
To decalcify, you will be needing a : decalcifying cleaner and A container large enough to hold the same quantity of liquid as your water reservoir
1) Remove the machine's water reservoir. 2) Empty all liquid from the reservoir. 3) Fill the reservoir with warm water. 4) Add one packet of the recommended cleaner to the full reservoir and stir until the cleaner is dissolved. 5) Return the water reservoir to the machine. 6) Turn the machine on. 7) Set the large container underneath the steam wand. 8) Set up your machine so that hot water -NOT steam-will be emitted from the steam wand when the steam valve is opened. 9) Open the steam valve according to the manufacturer's instructions. 10) After all of the decalcifying solution has drained into the large container (within a few minutes this will occur), remove it and discard the liquid that has been collected. 11) Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly and then fill it with the type of water you usually use for brewing. 12) Return the water reservoir to its normal position. 13) Using only water repeat steps 7 through 9 until the water reservoir is empty again.
I hope the above helps....
Good luck.

Was changing filter. followed instructions.

Hi mvarshisky,

Your float in the water tank may not be fitted correctly or together. Look in the water tank for the small compartment which houses the float. The float is black with a clear cover. If the cover is off, the float is probably somewhere in the tank. See if you can find the parts and reassemble.

If you cannot find the float parts, call Jura's customer service line at 1-800-220-5701 to get another float.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

I was going through the decalcifying process and

I had the same problem and had success with cleaning the contacts in the back of the machine with a small nail file/emery board. I found that the contacts that are inside the machine had a little calisification on them. Once they were cleaned up no problem.

Jura Capresso C3000 keeps saying clean unit

We have the S8 here at our office. Ran the cleaning cycle and "Clean Now" message was still on and beeping afterwards. Read the Feb 28 comment and carefully cleaned everything that had grounds stuck to it. Ran the cycle again and it worked. Thanks all.

No steam on Capresso Impressa S8

Most likely problem is over temp cut out switch. Small diode attached to the boiler to prevent damage during boil dry, or fault in the heating element itself. Difficult machines to repair and best handled by a service technician.

The machine struggles to move grounds through

Your brew unit is probably dirty and needs cleaning. However, it won`t always help just running the cleaning program. Try to clean out all the used ground that is stuck inside the brew unit; use your fingers or a toothbrush maybe. Then run the cleaning program. It may be smart to run the program once or twice after this too, but you don`t have to use the tablet everytime.

It is the grounds blade that holds the used ground container so you can`t get it out. This means that the brew unit stops in a wrong position, and don`t get back to grinding position before timeout. If you shut down the machine for a few hours, it usually moves back during startup. But of course; this indicates that you need to clean up inside...
