I have a s7 Jura capresso expresso machine. It

First, I'm not JURA technician. But I have worked on similar table top "Super Automatics" You should call your vendor or the MFR for service. Especially if it's still under warranty. There are no customer serviceable parts in this machine. *** the following is for information only *** - Water not getting to machine or not sensing that the water tank is already filled. * There usually some type of float near to middle of the water tank. It's usually white or colored plastic. This 'float' needs to move freely up-down to 'sense' the filled tank. clean the tank and shake it -note the movement of this float. It will need further cleaning if it's stuck (or you will have to replace tank if it's crudded up). * Re-install tank and fill with filtered water. Turn machine off, count to 15 then turn on again. This usually turns on pump to add water to inner tank. If this does not happen then there is a CPU problem. If it does hums for 5-10 seconds then goes off but no heating then the pump may have an air bubble in line. Try the turn off and on method several times (up to 5) to get the water flowing. If it's still not working then there is a clog in the pump and will need service and/or replacement. * Since this is a table top machine in which you fill the water tank. Try to use filtered (bottled ok) water. Do Not use Distilled or 100% pure water as this type of water will eat out the metals from your machine! Some places use a water softener as it tends to be better for the machine long term (years). * Still got problems? Check with vendor or MFR for service or replacement. Most machines of this type do not have serviceable parts or adjustments. Aloha, ukeboy57 PS: I've noted this tank also uses a water filter (which is probably dry after sitting around for a year as you mentioned.) you will probably have to flush out the air in the filter prior to this unit's pump to work properly. Jura Impressa S9 Coffee Maker displays "REPLACE NOW". Can't find it in the manual, replaced the filter anyway but message won't go away. Now what??

Ah the Subaru Impressa with S9 engine. :>D Not quite "says it all" Bryan. So..... Question edited to add the maker and 'what it is', a Coffee Maker. Question moved from Cars and Trucks to Jura Impressa category. When you add a maker, you are offered the correct category, 'Impressa' gives you generic Cars and Trucks. You have a 'Replace Now' message that no one else has! https://www.google.com/search?q=Jura+Impressa+S9+%22replace+now%22 However, try this. Remove the Grounds Bin. Disconnect from the power. Replace the bin, reconnect power. This is your manual https://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/assets/user-manuals/jura/jura-impressa-c9-user-manual.pdf Press CTRL+F, and type 'replace' and press enter. There are 16 mentions. I think it refers to the grounds bin being not fully placed. I have come across this many times, there is a small infra-red sensor or a proximity sensor.

Why is there a lot of water in the drip tray after each use?

Two to three teaspoonful water overflow after each espresso is normal. That is why the tray is there. If water collection in the tray is excessive and programmed espresso is smaller, then there is cause for worry. What is error 5 on my impressa J9

Error 5 is pointing to heating problem. Here are the parts that may be malfunctioning: 1- Thermal sensor not registering heating. Replace it. 2- Heater not heating up. Check continuity on heating element. If there is no continuity, (This is rare). Replace heater (Thermo block). The problem can be linked to: 1- Missed descaling of machine for extended period. 2- Use of automatic descaling method suggested by Jura. Descale the machine every three months using Manual descaling method.. I cleaned my Jura Capresso with a tablet, but the message "Clean Machine/Ready" won't switch back to "Ready". Any suggestions?

Fortunately the problem you describe is not model specific. All Jura machines in the series C, E, F, J, S & Z models have the same problem. The Jura recommended maintenance is insufficient or erroneous. Here is how it occurs: 1- When new machine is set up, the instructions advice the owner to set up OK for use of Filter cartridges. This set helps only to display reminders for replacing the filter. 2- The initial set up instruction also advises that with regular use of Filter, descaling the machine will not be needed. That is really not accurate. Consequently, the reminders for descaling are delayed for over one year or more. This causes serious consequence with accumulation of Calcium deposits in the entire hydraulic and coffee system. 3- Use of Filters alone does not prevent Calcium deposits. Cleaning tables recommended & sold by Jura do not remove Calcium deposits in the coffee/water passages. The automatic descaling method recommended by Jura leaves the coffee side of the machine unclean. The error message in your machine is due to Calcium deposits in the Brew group, coffee outlet & the faucet dispensing coffee in the cup. I suggest all Jura machine owners should manually descale machine. Manually descaling includes use of 6 to 10 rinse cycles with descaling solution in the water tank. The error message "Clean Machine" is accurate. This error message is pointing to descale the Brew group, coffee outlet tube and coffee dispensing faucet by using rinse cycles.

After the rinse cycles are complete, refill Descaling solution in the water tank & continue descaling the rest of the machine by using hot water dispensing function, ½ cup at a time until the tank is empty. Finally, give a final flushing of machine to flush out remaining descaling solution inside the machine.
