Ask acer for this problem, when you buy a laptop you need to make recovery discs, you prolly did not do that. So now it asks for recovery files on the dvd disc. If it has no dvd drive you should have made them on a usb drive. If acer cant help you with that, reinstall windows thats the only option. Partitions hidden can be removed but then there is no way to restore the pc to factorydefaults anymore. When you decide to reinstall windows, you will see 3 partitions, remove them all, then make 1 partition click next and it will make a little partition for system files. the rest is used for windows, untill u partition the rest, like a d: e: drive.

Hi there There are a couple of things here possibly. Firstly is the new RAM stick exactly the same speed as the old one? If it isn't then this will allow the netbook to appear to run but nothing will get done because the BIOS may not recognise the new memory. Secondly, it is sometimes necessary to go into the BIOS settings to tell BIOS that the memory has changed and what it has changed to. The first thing to try is to replace the old RAM and see if this cures the problem. If it does then it confirms that either a setting change is required, the 2Gb RAM is incompatible for some reason, or you may have damaged dislodged something during the upgrade. Its not intended for PC , unless your aspire one runs Android os, you would need to run emulator, e.g. Andy or Bluestacks which can both be found by googling apps, Andy would be the best as it is a complete emu, but Bluestacks is for running apps only.
