Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

This is known as laser scanner contamination, it requires for the printers lasers to be cleaned. It will take a couple of hours to do so. I would recommend taking the printer down to a local asp. you can search for them on the hp website under support and drivers.

go to the printers folder/right click on the printer icon/ printer properties/device settings/ device type change it to color/ and apply
try printing a test page if the win logo is in color you are good to go. if the printer is still printing in black and white go to the advanced tab and under automatic configuration select update now

Printer is consistently requesting paper in tray
Ok,
first of all do a hard reset on the printer to clear out all of the settings
1. Turn the printer off
2. Hold down the right arrow and the cancel button
3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.
once the printer is back to ready try changing the settings on the driver as well as the embedded web server. Type the ip address into an internet window. Check the ip address on a configuration report. under product settings (you may have to update the print driver to reflect the new ip address)
Remember tray one is the manual tray and tray two is the standard tray. Select on the server paper out handling and select specify time and action time enter a value of 0 and action override.

HP Laserjet CP2025 stopped printing.
First thing to do is to turn off the HP. Clear out any print jobs that are sitting on your computer print que waiting to be printed. Turn the printer back on, wait about 1 minute then try printing again. If this does not work then clear the print job again and reboot your PC. Try printing again. If still you can not print then reply here with how the printer is connected to your PC. By USB cable? Ethernet? etc.

The printer is printing horizontal thick lines
Did you also clean the print pathways?
If not purchase paper path cleaner at your local office supply store. Follow the instructions on packaging to clean the printer. Those lines will automaticaly disappear. If not post me here.
I have a MacBok Pro, and bought a HP 2025dn
I have had a problem just like that, hp.com has a printer driver that will only duplex and when you install the free driver you need to go to the properties and select the two sided.
