Reset fuser life counter MFC
Thank you for the inquiry.
This is a common occurrence after fuser replacement and no information is in the manual.
1) Press the 3 and 9 buttons at the same time in the ready status.
2) "Reset
Menu" will appear on the LCD. Scroll to Fuser by pressing up arrow or down arrow
button then press the OK button.
3) "1. Reset 2. Exit" appears on the LCD.
Press the 1 button to reset the fuser counter. The display briefly shows
"Accepted".
The machine returns to the ready status after a few seconds.

MY PROBLEM IS SO SIMPLE
Remove the "end-of-life" toner-cartridge, and responsibly recycle it.
Insert a new toner-cartridge.
Click 'Y' for "yes".

Problems printing to Brother MFC 8660DN printer
Pull the paper tray, likley a small black lever to the left of the roller called the edge actuator is dislodged and hanging down. When in position the actuator should easily push up and appear flat next to the roller.

Left side faded when printing
first try this reset method
Cleaning Procedures:
1. Remove drum and toner assembly
2. Remove toner from drum
3. Remove small metal c-clip from one side of the drum roller shaft (be careful not to lose clip)
4. Pull shaft out from other end
5. Lift roller assembly straight up - might require slight prying
6. Carefully remove roller from roller assembly without touching the roller.
7. Wipe (soft cloth), vacuum, etc excessive toner out of the brush
8. Carefully wipe down the metal wires to remove excessive toner
9. Carefully reassemble the drum/toner assembly
10. Clean the corona wire with the green tab.
11. Insert drum unit
12. Test printer
-------
if the reset method does not helps then read as above
in the printer there is a lens.its a thing film of glass and rectangle in shape.if the dust gets collected on the lens then on that side on which the dust is got collected then it will be faded.
---------
for a example i will explain you in much battery way.now consider a piece of grass in which see your face.daily what happens that dust get collected on the glass so when you see your face it looks bit faded.but if you wipe that collected dust on the glass then your face again looks proper, bright and shinny.
--------so this is exactly the same procedure.the internal lens glass needs cleaning.
---------
now the problem in resolving the issue is that.this lens is located in the section of the printer where the toner goes.to reach this section you need to disassemble the printer.but this is real tough job to do it manually.
-----------
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.
