unfortunately, there is no solution to this problem for now. The driver/software made for this printer does not scan with Lion.

But you can go to hp website after a while (maybe a month or two), check the software download section, then download the software for Mac and try it on your Lion. They may have updated the software and maybe it can work with Lion by then.

In the control panel go to System setup menu => Print quality => Calibrate color


Perform a Color Pane Registration (CPR) and density calibration. Select Calibrate now to perform an immediate calibration. Select After power on to specify the minutes/ hours the product should wait after power on to perform an automatic calibration (the default is 15 minutes).

2. If the error persists, disable ECM. Errors may still occur, and may result in degraded image quality on the received page. However, the ability to receive the entire document will be improved.

V.34 negotiations have failed from the originating product during phase four, which occurs after V.8 and before the first T.30 frames are exchanged. Compatibility problems have been observed in this area when sending to non-HP units.

Be advised that not all printers will work on 7. Go to HP.com and download the install program for your printer and OS, if they have one.

Calibrate over and over again until fix it.

Try the following

1. Open the printer remove all of the cartridges and re insert back and try to print.

2. Try to see if the laser scanner shutter is getting opened as you close the front door the mechanism needs to open the shutter for laser to hit the OPC drums in your toner cartidges.
