Black cartridge keeps saying remove

HERE'S THE SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME: I have been working HP LaserJet printers for many years. I have not ever seen this problem before today. In my case I was working on a HP LaserJet M605. After booting up, it always claimed that the cartridge shipping lock had not been removed, but it had been removed. The cartridge was good, the formatter was good, and the DC controller was good. Upon taking a close look inside the cartridge bay, I noticed that one of the two spring-wire electrical contacts located under the bottom left side of the toner cartridge was not at the correct angle. There are two inverted V- shaped wire contact springs that protrude out of slots in the black plastic frame which supports the registration and transfer assemblies. These two springs connect points on the toner cartridge to the engine power supply board. One of them was pointing to 12 O'clock instead of 1 O'clock which led me to suspect that it wasn't making contact on both ends. In order to access the springs, the entire metal left-side frame has to be removed. With the side plate removed I could see that the springs have two spots with coils which snake around pegs. One of the springs had come off both of the pegs and no electrical connection to the vertical copper contact post on the power supply board was being made. I put the dislodged spring back in place with needle pliers, and in order to keep it from coming off again, I drilled out the upper plastic peg and installed a washer-head screw into the just enlarged hole in the center of the plastic peg to keep the spring held down at the upper coiled part and thereby keeping the whole spring from being knocked out of place again. This job took about 2 hours because there are a lot plastic cover and paper tray guide parts, two fans, and many screws that need to be removed to take off the left-side frame to reach the location of the problem spring.

10.1003 supply memory error

Just take out your toner cartridge. If you find an orange color notch on the left side, just remove it. Re-insert the cartridge and restart the printer . This should resolve your issue.

Envelopes print crooked

A decent printer should print a #10 envelope without a problem. If this model won't do so, return it and get another printer. Suggest Epson or Canon -- AVOID HP printers.

Printing from the system it is coming black only

When you press the COLOR copy button on printer, and it does copy in COLOR, then it is probable that the printing driver has been modified to print in greyscale. When was the last time it printed in color? Was there a Windows Update for the printer done recently?

Ugly copies but clean prints

Prior to providing a final answer, one question...does it do the same thing whether you scan through either the document feeder OR the flatbed? Both options use the same scanner, BUT they view the scan through different viewpoints. The document scanner uses additional mirrors to get the image, and these mirrors tend to get dirty. The flatbed views the image directly through the glass. If it does the same thing through both flatbed or feeder, then a scanner firmware update might be in order?

It was working properly and suddenly started to reinitiate constantly, ?

Not a good situation, since this usually means the scanner assembly is having issues and doesn't park itself properly, causing the initialization problems. This happened to the one I had and was going to cost too much for parts to fix, so I now have a new all-in-one. I usually can fix these little issues, but this one left me scratching my head. Sorry that this is not actually a solution, but bad news ;(

Error59.c0

Per my service manual for this printer, the 59.C0 error states: The product has experienced a developer motor error. Recommended action: 1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds. 2. Turn on the power and wait for the product to initialize. If the error persists, replace the developer motor. If the error persists, replace the DC controller

Hp cm2320 printer toner cartridge leaks spots

lousy answers all of them. There can be two things happening. One I have not found a cure for yet. First replace the toner cartridge, even if you just replaced it. This should resolve it. Just because you might have just replaced a toner cartridge does not mean it is not faulty. The second part to this problem I have seen is when you print a demo page it looks fine but when you print a usage page or configuration there are speckles. This one I am working on. Yours is most likely just a faulty toner cartridge. Seen it many times.

Slow printing hp laserjet 2320 mfp

I have just come up against this issue my self, 4 x CM2320's installed on 150 PC's. After a lot of head scratching I dug out wire shark and did some network analysing as I thought it was a network issue. Turns out it sort of was, the HP software installs a custom network print port, this print port scans the network to see if the printer has changed its IP address BEFORE it tries to spool...!! The solution is to create a new network port and put the printer on that. Originally it took well over 90 seconds to print a test page, once the port was changed it dropped to 2...!!!! All PC's at this client were win XP so here's how to do it on an XP machine... Please note the printer should be on a static IP address!!!: Start > Printers And Faxes > Right Click on the CM2320 PCL 6 printer > Properties > Ports > If you scroll down to find the printer in the ports list you should find it has installed on a port called 'HP Colour LaserJet' or something similar. Add Port > Select 'HP Standard TCP/IP Port' > New Port > Next > Type in the printers IP address ie 192.168.0.202 (Don't tick always print to this device) > Next > Standard - Dropdown - Hewlett Packard Jetdirect > Next > Finish. The new port will now be in the ports list, click the tick box next to it > Apply > OK. Now try and print a test page, it should only take a second or two...!!!

CM2320 won't complete startup process and receive scanner error 5

The scanner has only 1 motor and when initializing moves the lamp to the end, where there is a photocell to detect home position. Possibly bad sensor or dirt on tracks which interferes with the movement. Clean the rails with alcohol may correct the problem. Paul
