You will probably need to replace your drum drive shaft assembly. Its one piece and our part at our local appliance service center gave us a price of $217. Not including labor if you need them to install it.
When I run my washer it leaks water somewhere out
Flip it up take the foam off the bottom you will see the pump there most likely is a crack in the housing usually change gets through and hits the impeller and boom cracked housing you can epoxy it . if thye viens are still on the impeller but best bet by a new pump around $79 , take the inner tub out and remove the cover over the inlet i am sure there is more change in there i took a 1/4-20 stainless bolt and nut drilled a hole rite over the inlet centered so that bolt stuck down about an inch when you put the cover back on it made the hole to small to fit the change make sure to put a little loc-tite on it so it cant come loose . I have fixed 4 like this and all are still running great
Code F- Won't spin
Hi, it means you have an internal short in the display control board. You'll need to order and replace the relay control board in order to correct the issue. This control board is located on the far right corner under the control panel. Below is a link to the control board you'll need to order and replace.

Lid error message
THE MOST common fault of this kind is the spindry went out of ballence and tripped the safty tab at rear of the wash/spin drum under the rear of the lid. if you slide your hand under the cover rim you can pull the wash drum toward you with your left hand to give a little space to view the under side of the lid you should be able to bearly see a tab sticking down or something the drum could bump into if pushed back far enough if this is so then gently flik or pull this tab forward this is a safety cutout switch leaver, close lid and test
other problems could be a bent lid or corroded parts
My washer drum bangs against only the front of the
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(I would start with checking the balance of the whole machine- guidance notes follow!)
--------------------------------
I mostly answer front load problems but ' out of balance' is a common problem with both!
So- I don't know your particular machine but the initial cure is the same.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.
If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning.
Good luck,
John C
Washer is displaying a F:51
Solution is coutesy of expert "canbruce75"
If You have the F51 code. The reason could be due to an intermittent connection at the rotor position sensor (RPS). To correct this, remove and install the the connector at the rotor position sensor (plug and unplug) at least three times to clean off any corrosion build up on the connector or the rotor position sensor due to the intermittent connection.
Confirm that the connector is fully seated onto the rotor position sensor upon final connection and verify that there are no damaged wires. The electronic control unit may have to be replaced, since the upgraded version is less sensitive to intermittent RPS connections.
The weather has caused the pipes to freeze in the
The potential damage would be to the water inlet solenoid valves -- one for hot and one for cold. The chattering was caused by the valves trying to open and then closing over and over again.
The valves are the parts the hose screws onto on the back of the washer. More info, let me know.

sounds like the discharge pump got some coins in it and wore a hole in the pump housing. you can either buy a new pump or try to repair the pump you have. i repaired my pump by dismantling it and then i bought a flat head nylon bolt and a nut and some epoxy putty and i plugged the hole with the putty and the bolt. but you will need to get all of the coins out of the tub. it takes a while.
Coins are getting under the agatator and falling
take the coins out of pockets before placing clothes in washer. a new pump must have cost about a hundred dollars. i was able to repair mine using epoxy putty and a nylon bolt and nut, about 5 dollars.
Coins rattling
take all of the coins out of the pockets before putting the clothes in the washer because the coins will get into the discharge pump and eventually cause a hole in the pump. i was able to repair my pump using some epoxy putty and a nylon bolt and nut.

does your washer spins?. the most common cause would be a sock caught in the pump blocking the water drain and making noise with the pump impeller.
Error code f-51
The F51 code indicates that the control is not detecting proper motor rotation in the washer. This can be caused by overloading the washer, a fill problem or even a toy or item that is stuck underneath the washer that is preventing the motor from spinning properly. With the washer empty, see if the spin basket rotates freely. If you detect resistance, then you check between the basket and tub for an item that is stuck in this area.

When my Maytag bravos washer
Cause: suds. The wrong detergent or the wrong amount of detergent, makes the motor overheat.
Why? In my opinion when suds are detected the program needs to make them go away for fear the clothes won't be clean. So the program makes the motor do extra work to try and fix the problem. The poor washer motor gets worked to death because the water ain't right. This washer is designed to work with a small amount of water. Only a tiny amount of soap is needed to do the job. Put a cup of detergent in there and the machine is gonna constantly run way past time to be done just to get rid of the detergent. This causes the machine to overwork the motor and destroy the rotor position sensor.
SOUNDS LIKE LOOSE CHANGE UNDER
Yes, First pop the lid up with a flathead screwdriver. You'll see two clips between the body and the lid panel. Once you get the lid up take the tub cover off. It just snaps on to the tub. There is a plasctic cap on the top of the adgitator that covres ther adgitator bolt. Remove it and remove the bolt, and take off the adgitator. This will expose the 6 bolts that hold the basket on. Remove them and the basket will come off, and you can get to anything in the tub.

Hello &
Welcome to FixYa
LD error code
means long drain, you can try to check the drain hose and clean it completely.
Also take out the agitator and check any stuck clothes there. After this if the
problem is back then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back
to me if you have any other questions.

Ld signal won't drain
For the LD error please check for the following:
- Check for kinked or clogged Drain Hose: Remove any obstructions in the drain hose / stand pipe / utility sink. Straighten the hose to remove any kinks. If the washer is unable to drain due to a kinked or restricted drain hose, the washer may not spin.
- Check for Standpipe higher than 8 feet above the floor:The pump is not powerful enough to pump water to heights greater than 8ft. The water will remain in the basket.
- Check for excessive suds in the washer: Drain pumps cannot drain suds out of the washer.
To clear the suds condition: Check the drain hose and make sure the hose is not plugged or kinked Press pause/cancel twice to clear the display Run the machine through a Rinse/Spin cycle using cold water, then a Normal cycle using cold water.
Note: Do NOT add any additional detergent. This will remove much of the remaining detergent held in the fabric. This step may have to be repeated to remove all the detergent.
Yes i did thank you
The F1 error code indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range on the machine control board. A pinched or kinked air pressure hose between the bottom of the washer tub and the connection on the machine control board can cause this. A failed control board (the pressure transducer is integrated into the machine control board) can also cause it.

NO. Have you checked if he installed an anti vibration pads. This is because the high frequency vibrations caused by the spin cycle can cause annoying noise and very serious long term structural damage to you home.
