No please do not. If the wheels are noisy, they need to be replaced. If something else is noisy, it needs to be addressed - spraying things with lube rarely fixes anything, and can cause more damage. Precor Elliptical EFX 5.23. Getting grinding noise

There may be a wave washer on the crankshaft that broke - when it breaks, there is too much left to right play in the shaft, so the disk will intermittently rub. Taking it all apart and replacing the washer is tricky - hire a pro. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

Is there a replaceable fuse for the efx 546i

Battery operated 546s have a fuse on the lower board, plug in models have a fuse on the lower board and fuses in the power inlet. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

If the display stays at 1, then the UP button may be at fault, in which case you would need a new keypad. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

There is a loud noise coming from the rear spin

It could be a bearing or the belts - if it sounds like a jet, look at the generator. I do not believe there is anything that can be lubed. Usually it just makes a mess. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

Squeaking is definitely coming from the Ramp area

Tip it over - there was a version that had a problem with the frame cracking where the ramp attaches. There is a kit to fix this, if that is what you find. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

My precor efx 546 keypad

1. Sounds like you need a new keypad if some buttons do not work. 2. If those buttons do not work either, it sounds like you need a new keypad, possibly the upper board. Make sure the keypad is plugged into the upper board and the connection is not corroded. 3. Older 546s used an electromagnet to produce resistance, newer 546s use a generator and resistor to produce resistance. I have never seen a 546 that used a motor that moves back and forth to produce resistance. Some residential crosstrainers use a motor like you describe. Charging the battery

If the battery is dead, you need a new battery. If you are constantly changing batteries, consider getting a new battery AND the optional plug in. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

Where is the battery located on a precor epx546i

Depends on the version - the serial number would help, not sure which one version 4 would be, but I would guess it would be in the front on the bottom. That is where it has been for the last 5-6 years. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

Reset the error code on a precor elliptical

Not familiar with an error 400 - and error 40 is an elevation error - it needs to be addressed(fixed) cannot really be reset otherwise. Check connections and fuses first. If it was recently put together, make sure the data cable was not pinched. If it is battery operated, an error 40 can occur when the battery is low. Precor Error 05, Key Depressed at Power Up Probable Cause 1. A key is permanently depressed on the display. 2. An interface chip (IC) has failed in the upper PCA's keypad. 3. Liquid (cleaning solution or sweat) may be on the surface of a touch sensitive display. Corrective Action
  1. Disconnect the keypad cable from the upper PCA. Reset power to the machine. If the Error 05 is eliminated, the keypad is the cause and should be replaced.
  2. Disconnect the keypad cable from the upper PCA. Reset power to the machine. If the Error 05 still appears, the upper PCA* is the cause and should be replaced. *Upper PCA's most commonly do not come with software. Remove the software (chip) from the existing upper PCA prior to replacement and install into the new upper PCA.
  3. Wipe away all liquid from the touch sensitive display. Reset power to the unit. If the Error 05 is eliminated, the liquid was the cause.

How do you replace battery for precor efx 546i

Depends on the version - some have the battery in the front, some have it in the back. The one in the picture next to your question would have it in the front, on the bottom. Take the old battery to Batteries Plus or similar retailer to match it up. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/russell_1d1c35fa8a5a0be4

Knocking/bumping sound while pedaling Precor

It could be the input drive bearings going out. I would suggest removing the back side covers of the unit and inspecting the drive assembly when its in use. Watch for deviations in the the circular motion of the crank arms. If it moves side to side or drops in the rotation its time to have the input replaced.
