Landice L7 LTd Pro Sports Trainer Treadmill Questions & Answers
Noisy Landice Treadmill
It could be the bearings or it could be the brushes are worn out and need to be replaced. normally it would be the front roller that needs to oiled or replaced. I suggest having a fitness equipment repairman come out and see and hear the unit. it cost very little and is worth the investment I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Landice L7 gives me a L5 reading on the screen
Your L7 error looks like L5 , but its really LS which mean lost signal. Unplug unit take motor shroud off then plug unit back in wall outlet. When looking in front unit you will see a Motor control board and there are LED lit up one of them should be an amber light this is you speed sensor which is attached to the top of your motor. Manually rotate the fly wheel and see if that light flickers if it does then your speed sensor is working properly if not replace speed sensor. The next thing to look at is the motor brushes to if they are worn unplug unit you should see slitted caps on both side of motor remove them if they are less than 3/8" they need replacing. That for the most parts should take of your problem. Call Landice @ 1800-526-3423 have the serial# handy their on all the components in the unit

Display will not light up. Board has a green light.
Please test the REED switch, for open or fault. Clean it, and tight the connector very well. See the diagram attached.2) Tight the ribbon cables, clean it for keypads.3) Replace old batteries by new ones, clean the contacts batteries very well. and try again. see the block diagram4)Run the software calibration for troubleshooting,God bless you
Treadmill does not start
is a problem with the speed sensor or card connectors are specifically where the motor cables is false or welding is damaged if you can not check you should call a qualified technician to review these two parts and repair.
JKExer 8030 overspeed problem
it's been two months if you still have that problem but would like some information if you want to write me detail your problem, and a photo of my email is
[email protected] machine maybe you can send a video tutorial how to solve that problem.
With the L7 plugged in,
looking for a qualified technician to check the connectors on the lower board specifically where the motor wires connected.
this part of the lower board overheats and sometimes there are false contact.
The belt slips slightly. i
* take nail polish or paint and place a mark starting on the front roller pulley and going onto the front roller metal shaft
* then try to walk on it and see if the white mark separates
* if it does then the roller is bad and would need replaced or tap screws placed through the pulley into the metal shaft to hold it in place
* if it doesn't separate then the drive belt is slipping and most likely will need replaced, although you could try spraying belt dressing on it to see if that would be a temporary fix.
* if neither of these is your problem and the walk belt is slipping then you will need to try to adjust the screws in the back of the treadmill through the end caps. these are allen wrench screws.
Tighten each one the same amount such as 1 full turn to start with.
see if you can now walk without it slipping.
If not then tighten 1-2 more turn on both sides.
If after 2-3 full turns it is not tight enough
I would recommend replacing the walk belt.
Hopefully this helps with your problem!
Landice l 7 when turned on nothing lights up and
In order to do any of these tests you need to have a familiarity with electricity and a working knowledge of a voltage multimeter, if you don't then call a professional!! With that said you will need to remove the motor shroud then proceed with these steps:
1. Set your volt meter to AC volts, we are going to trace the
power from the wall outlet through the treadmill to see where it ends.
2. With the treadmill unplugged, test the wall outlet. You should have from 115 to 125 VAC. Optimally, you will have at least 120 VAC.
3. Follow the power leads from the power cord to the lead ends. With the treadmill unplugged, connect your meter to the lead ends. Plug the
treadmill in and check your reading. It should be the same as your
reading from the wall outlet.
4. Continue this process with the electrical system, following the leads, as they pass through, breakers, fuses, and the like.
5. Where the power flow ends is where your problem is. Sometimes it will be in a bad connection, sometimes it will be in a shorted breaker or
( when checking the fuse unplug unit then check for continuity) blown fuse or a loose fuse in fuse holder, at times it may be as simple as a safety switch not working properly, or it may be a major problem with a component. If fuse is blown get the exact fuse ( 15 amp ceramic fuse) if it blows the fuse again, then you have a direct short in the Motor Control Board and will need replacement.
Overspeed
Your speed sensor is not working properly this part is located under the motor shroud and on top of drive motor it is attached to a bracket with 2 bolts. Unplug the unit and remove motor shroud see if you can adjust it first by loosen the 2 nuts and moving the sensor forward without making contact to the flywheel, then tightened the nuts up. Plug the unit into the outlet, start the unit, if you still have the overspeed then replacement of the sensor is needed. Call Landice Directly they will ask for model and serial number and they will the new sensor.
TURN ON A CODE L5 LIGHTS UP
L5 is really LS (Lose signal ) this occurs when the speed sensor is not functioning or no belt movement. Unplug unit remove motor shroud then plug unit back in, now stand on foot panels you will notice LED lights coming from the Motor Control Board, press start at this time you will manually with you foot start pushing the belt. What this will show you that if the speed sensor is working properly one of the lights will start flickering and the upper panel will register this pulse signal and the time should work.
If you get a LS again then the speed sensor is defective and needs to be replaced, this sensor is located on top of the drive motor with 2 bolts attaching it to the motor body. Now if the sensor is functioning their is 2 other possibilities 1) Worn motor brushes 2) Motor Control Board Has Failed.Unplug Unit.
The easiest to test out of the 2 is the motor, by using a 18v fully charged drill battery disconnect the lead from the motor going to the motor control board attach the leads to the battery and the motor should start to rotate if not replace worn brushes. If the motor rotates then you may have a defective motor control board.
To test this portion you will need a multi-meter place leads where you disconnected the motor leads put meter range @ 20v DC plug in unit and start the unit, when you hear the click you should see about 5v DC = .5 MPH and their should be another LED light flickering as soon as you hit the start key this is the PWM signal which is generated from the upper board and travels thru the terminal harness. This tells you that both board and harness is working properly.
My suggestion is that it is either the sensor or the brushes these are the 2 that commonly fail.
My L7 has been running just fine. Today it would
Not sure how long or often this is used, but you may just have to do a maintance on it. In your manual it will show you but all it sounds like is the tracks need cleaned and oiled. The slowing down will show up at slower speeds first due to the fact that the motor is not turning as fast and will feel the drag of dry or dirty tracks. When you are going faster this will not be noticed as much since the motor is spinning faster it will over come slight resistance. So try cleaning and oiling the tracks as per your manual and your problems should be solved. You may also have to adjust the tension on the belt
