My proform 575 treadmil keeps
Hi michelleboon,
Your treadmill is likely overcoming the home's ability to provide the power required that's why it keeps tripping. Most new treadmills require a dedicated 20 amp line. As the treadmill breaks in, it will draw less amperage but the long and the short of it is to check the owner's manual for the power requirements and then check the breaker that it's on. You can try to elevate the treadmill somewhat as this changes the user's gait and the result is a lower amp draw. Also, make sure to provide the treadmill with the power required.
If after checking what I mentioned above and still the issue persists it could be the motor that has problem or the drive system that the motor drives. If something is bound up, the motor could draw much more current than normal. You will need a local repairman to do further checking and repair with this.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using Fixya.
