Oil spots have appeared when I look at the belt of
This may be caused by one of two things. One, the drive motor may be slinging oil. Two, the lift motor may be slinging oil. Open the unit up and look around both motors to see if you can see any signs of the oil. If you do, then carefully wipe the oil up.

While trying to run the mat/track stops or
Sounds like the belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating
the two bolts that adjust the
rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at
about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that
what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will
get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if
it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again.
Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more
than 2 full turns.

My Pro Form 580 XP slows down suddenly while on,
If you have not ever lubricated the running deck then I suggest doing so .
What happens is that the lack of lubrication will tend to make the belt drag thus slowing down the belt making the motor control board to try to compensate the drag.

Console Lights, but Motor Does Turn
Ok, I would check the motor as if the incline started to do this then the motor is not good so the part to replace is the motor and those cost $159 bucks from the manufacture (there not cheap).
Power is not a issue
because the
con-sol trys to turn on the motor.

All the lights come but belt does not turn. it
WITH A MULTI-METER CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE MOTOR OR IF YOU HAVE A NEW 9V BATTERY HANDY THAT WILL TURN THE MOTOR HOWEVER SLOWLY, THE MOTOR IS GOOD. NEXT YOU NEED TO DETERMINE IF THE MOTOR CONTROL BOARD IS GOOD IF ALL LEDS ARE LIT THEIR ONE THAT IS PWM LED THE FLICKERS FASTER EVERY TIME YOU INCREASE SPEED AND VISA VERSA. THE UPPER CONSOLE IS SEND A SIGNAL COMMAND TO HE LOWER BOARD. IF THAT PWM IS FLICKERING AND WE HAVE ELIMINATE THE MOTOR THEN MCB IS DEFECTIVE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST TWO OTHER THING WE CAN TRY EITHER A BAD RIBBON OR UPPER CONSOLE!!

Proform crosswalk has no lights on the top panel.
If you know how to use a multi-meter you will need to do the following:
Will need to disassemble upper console to 1.Check ribbon connection and continuity from upper to lower board 2. Check continuity of safety key switch 3. check dc voltage from lower to upper boards.
If ribbon is defective replace it.
If safety switch is defective replace it.
If lower board is defective get pricing for component
If upper board is defective get pricing for component

the treadmill should have tension adjusting screws. they'd be on the back of the treadmill where the belt wraps around the rear roller, they're inset and you'll need an allen wrench to adjust them. the screws adjust this rear roller. you'll want to tighten them to increase the tension. they also straighten the belt. if your belt is too fat to the right, you'll want to turn the adjustment screw on the right clockwise to tighten and this will bring the belt over to the left. and vica versa for the belt being too far to the left.

Proform crosswalk adv 525x TREADMILL- Not working in full speed
The concern you are having, sounds to be with either the switch is failing, or the electrical drive motor is failing. Did you notice a kind of burning smell when you were operating it? If it works on the other settings up to 10, and 10 is the only one that is not working properly, then its the control switch. If it doesn't increase in speed up to 10, then its the electronic drive motor. Craig

Treadmill shuts down and trip off the power outlet
outlet-breaker may be to lower for machine and or may be other things on same circuit lamps, refrigerator, fans etc try a different outlet with nothing else on circuit and at-lest 20 amp breaker ---if power is good than motor in threadmill might need servicing oil or adjustment

Installing endcap assembly on a pro form
Well congratulations for having gotten that far! The spring on the right hand side needs to be on the rear of the bolt. Be sure it is not in front of the roller or it will only tighten a certain amount. The bolt goes into the roller first, then the washer then the spring/sleeve then another washer and then the nut on the end. If you need a diagram you can go to iconservice.com and search for pftl4206 that should be your model and go to the parts listing in the rear of the book for the diagram.
Good Luck!

Hi I have a Proform
The motor is getting hot due to not being able to take the load. That is why it slows down when you walk on it (more load). And if you keep testing it, it will finally burn out. There is some resistance that is playing foul. Can you disconnect the choke and run the motor by shorting the two wire from the choke. If the motor runs fine then the choke is at fault. Change it. If the problem persists then the motor may be at fault. Some bearings may have gone or going. As it shuts down when you walk on it means that there is a safety device that protects the motor from overload. But do not put too much of load on it. Could something have got stuck somewhere in the path of the track??? Check.
