Belt problem
Sounds like the belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating
the two bolts that adjust the
rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at
about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that
what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will
get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if
it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again.
Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more
than 2 full turns.
My treadmill come on but the belt dont move
Sounds Like a Motor control Board, they don’t often fail on their own though; usually it’s because you failed to lubricate the belt at the manufacturer scheduled maintenance periods that is specified in your owners manual. Go to iconfitness.com click on customer service then replacement parts put in manufacturer name and model name it will give a listing of parts , availability and pricing.
Running belt is sliping when on treadmill
If the front roller is stopping with the walking belt, it is the drive belt. You may be able to tighten it, if it's not too old. The easiest way is to remove the belt by turning the motor by hand while pushing the belt away from the motor. Then adjust the motor back a 16th to an 8th of an inch or so, put the roller side of the belt on the roller side of the pulley, so that you have enough slack to put the belt on the motor. Now, while you pull the belt onto the front roller pulley, turn the motor and walk the belt back on. If it won't go on, this way, you probably have the motor too far back, making it too tight. Good Luck!
We have a Proform Sport 1000 treadmill which when
There is a belt between the front roller and the motor (drive belt) that is under the motor hood. The trick is to watch the front roller when you get on the walking belt. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt is loose and needs to be replaced or tightened. If you have already adjusted the walking belt, and you can hear the motor, it's the drive belt. There will be 3 screw on the front of the machine, and a couple of screws under the main frame. Tip the unit over to find the screws, and take off the cover. You'll be able to see where the slip is.

If you can stop the belt. You need to be aware that both running & drive belts can cause the same problem so I suggest that you remove the motor shroud and when you are adjusting whether the front roller is moving and the running belt has stopped (adjust back rollers) or the roller has stopped and motor is rotating ( adjust Drive Belt)
This unit just goes into high speed mode
This condition is when the treadmill goes to full speed as soon as you power up the treadmill.
Typically when this occurs, it is an indication of a short circuit in the motor controller. Be sure to test the motor for a short-to-ground condition. If a motor shorts completely, it can cause a controller to short circuit and have a runaway condition like this. Be sure to test the other electrical part to confirm they do not have a short-to-ground condition.
Even if your treadmill runs away only one time and then returns to normal operation, we suggest replacing the motor control immediately because it is a dangerous proposition when this malfunction occurs and has been show to have quick recurrence with the same controller.
My treadmill starts for about 10 seconds and then
If it resets after a few minutes something is causing it to overheat. Have you recently made any adjustments to the walking or motor belt? Too much tension on either will cause strain and overheating.

Check out The treadmill Doc. Fantastic site and great people to do business with. A lot of helpful trouble shooting information for free! I'm betting it is the motor control board. Site will lead you through step by step instructions to check and fix it yourself. I saved a ton of money and with a little know how and good information you can too.
After a few minutes of using the machine, the mat
Your drive belt is loose and yes you can fix this yourselves. Remove the belly (lower) cover. 2 screws in the rear and 2 on the bottom of the machine. When the cover is removed you will see the drive motor. There is a bracket holding the motor which is adjustable. Loosen the bolts and adjust the motor. Fyi it is usually easier to adjust the motor with the belt off of the front roller and then work the belt back on after moving the bracket slightly. Good Luck, Tim

more than likely the drive belt needs to be tightened. This is done by removing the lower cover. Should be 2 screws in the rear and 2 screws on the bottom to remove it. Then there is an adjustable bracket on the motor. Hope this helps, Tim

If I understand correct, the treadmill will not run correct unless you have the safety key in. Well yes this is correct because once the safety key is removed the treadmill will stop. If your treadmill is running extremely fast just by turning it on, you may need a new speed sensor. www.AtlantaFitnessRepair.com
Walking belt folds
It sounds like one of the adjusted bolts or endcaps that adjusts the walk belt is broken, look at the bolts where you adjust and see if the side the belt is shifting to is broken. It may have ruined the belt also but you wont be able to tell till you correct the tracking problem.
