Life fitness 9500 is shocking users? help?
Hi, there is a service bulletin for this problem.
1) perform a continuity test on the power cord between the earth pin at the plug and any exposed metalwork of the treadmill (say an exposed bolt). If you get a reading of less than 1ω - that is good. If higher than this, try another part of the treadmill or trace the cause.
2) Ensure the Power outlet has a good ground - Your electrician could verify this for you.
The most common problems are static buildup on the Striding belt caused by users wearing polyester and scuffing their feet as they are running. This causes static buildup which gets discharged through the user when they come into contact with the treadmill frame.
Happy hunting
Unit will not start. it does work in maintenance
Get back into System test hit enter it will automatically to a check once completed.
Then go to Lift motor module Go to manual incline and go to maximum incline then to 0 incline then get out of system test unplug unit for about 30 seconds.
Then plug unit in if this does not work the limit or home switch may be the culprit
Belt tracking
Take the end caps and motor shroud off visually inspect the frame tension bolts to see if anything is bent. then loosen, ( count how rotation it took to loosen the so when tighten the belt up you won't have to guest at the tension ) the belt and edges of the belt to see if the weave is uneven this cause the belt to travel. If you can tip the treadmill on its side to inspect underneath to see if anything skewed. Take your time and observe the mechanical operation you may have the above a 1/2 a dozen time before you see the problem, other than that anything short of replacing the belt this my recommendation. Good Luck to you
Programs run through the display but don't
I'm not 100% familiar with your specific model, but I have to assume there's a reset button somwhere on the main console. A reset should return it the original factory settings. If there's no reset try unplugging unit and waiting a couple of minutes before plugging it in again.
I was cleaning life fitness 9500 hr with an acid
I'm sorry to say that using the acid base solution destroyed your function pad and will need to replace. Any clean must be done with simple green or warm gentle soapy water. Contact Life Fitness1-800-351-3737 or Nation Gym Supply 1-800-496-7278 give Model and Serial Numbers. Either company will help you.
Treadmill not working
Unplug unit open the motor shroud and inspect all wire connections to see if any rodent activity may have occurred. They could have built a nest inside. If you spot and damage then I suggest you call a qualified servicer to further assess the unit. Call Life Fitness @ 1-800-351-3737.
How do I access the service menu on a lifefitness
To get to the service menu start by pressing the pause button and keep it held down as you hit the clear button twice. The treadmill will reset and go into the service menu, and now you quite pressing the pause button.
In life fitness next generation operation
It will be one of three things: #1 faulty Wax/Lift circuit board that controls the lift motor,#2 the motor itself, or #3 a faulty home switch, which is the white plastic switch in the base of the machine which senses the home position or zero degrees elevation.
Left side rollers are releasing excess oil..
On that left side end cap has a liquid wax hose assembly with nozzle on/off switch, this is used to refill the wax bladder underneath the running deck for lubricating the running belt itself.
their are 2 screws that hold the end cap you will see the nozzle make sure its turned off make sure hose connections are snug. If any cracks in hose replace accordingly.
Communication timeout
You need to press and hold Pause, press clear twice. Continue to hold pause until the display reads SERVICE MENU. Press any up arrow and select SYSTEM TEST. then press enter in the desired mode, then the display will scroll automatically though available options. You want the first option which is SYSTEM COMM TEST hit enter upon do so it will perform test to communicate with all module within the treadmill. If a module does not respond to the upper console the a error message will display.
