Life Fitness T5-0 Treadmill Questions & Answers
I am having problems with my treadmill when some one gets on it then it slow downs and dosen
The first place to look would be the condition of the walking belt and deck. If they are worn, dry or several years old the friction between the walking belt and deck might be causing the drive motor to slow down during your workout. If the walking belt and deck have never been replaced we would recommend starting with that repair since these are parts which will need to be replaced anyway during the life of the treadmill. if you continue to experience problems following this repair, there may be a problem with a weak drive motor or in some cases a motor control board which is failing to send the appropriate amount of current to the drive motor during a workout.
It shut offs
Questions for analysis:
How old is this machine?
What is the condition of the walking belt and deck?
(most problems with treadmills cutting off during use stem from worn walking belts and decks - replacement is always recommended unless unit is less than 1 year old)
If you are able to walk on the edges of the walking belt (away from the center of the deck), run a test to determine if unit is still shutting off. If not this may be another indication of excess friction in the center (walking) area of the walking belt/deck. The only way to be accurate about this test would be to perform an amperage test, testing the machine unloaded, with load at 3mph, and with load walking on the edges of the walking belt

please LUBE the deck belt, see the video attached 2) lube the rollers bearings front+back
2) test the drive belt for loose or crack,
3) test the voltage terminal motor, see my PERSONAL TIPS for help
4) test the output voltage terminal board, if there ARE NOT voltage for input voltage terminal the control board is faulty.
God bless you
The term immobilize is on the display panel, how do I get rid of that and get it working again
When necessary to immobilize the treadmill, set display to read SELECT A WORKOUT. (Press the STOP Keytwice if not already there). Then hold down the SPEED DOWN Key and press the STOP Key. The treadmillnow displays IMMOBILIZED. In this state, the treadmill cannot be operated. The main motor and incline aredisabled. The treadmill will remain in this state across resets, power cycles, etc. To restore normal operation, repeat the same key sequence: hold down the SPEED DOWN Key and press the STOP Key. The treadmill willdisplay SELECT A WORKOUT again.
Keeps asking for key

I have a life fitness
Dear Sir:
I will indicate some Tips for maintenance:
Any equipment is difficult to survie without a properly maintenance.
But you can do something very simple.
Cleaning
Dirt and debris is a major cause of premature belt and deck wear.
Clean between the belt and the deck once per week. Also clean the small
exposed areas of the deck on each side of the belt. Dirt tends to
accumulate in these areas. Wipe down the entire treadmill once per week.
The outside surface of the belt can be cleaned with a damp sponge or
cloth. Vacuum or wipe up the area around your treadmill at the same
time. You should clean the motor area three or four times per year.
Unplug the treadmill before removing the cover. Follow the instructions
in your owner's manual for removing the cover. Carefully vacuum the dust
and debris from around the motor.2)
Lubrication
Read and follow your owner's manual for lubrication recommendations.
Some treadmills do not require lubrication. In fact, unnecessary
lubrication can cause damage. Many decks are made of materials that do
not require lubrication or are pre-impregnated with wax. Lubricating
these types of decks can actually increase the friction between the belt
and deck, which can lead to motor damage. If your treadmill does
require lubrication or waxing, follow the manufacturers guidelines.
Belt Tension
Belt tension is pre-adjusted at the factory, however, new belts will
stretch and require readjustment. If the belt is too loose, it will
slip and cause excessive wear to both the belt and the deck. If the belt
is too tight, it will cause wear to the rollers and to the motor. The
belt should be set just tight enough so that is does not slip. With the
belt running slowly, stomp your foot forcefully down and slightly
forward on the belt. If you feel the belt slip, tighten both bolts 1/4
turn. Again, follow your manual for instructions specific to your make
and model.
Belt Wear
There are two components in your treadmill, which will require
periodic replacement - the belt and the deck. Check the condition of
your belt every three months. Feel the underside of the belt. If it
feels rough and worn, it may be time for a new belt. Continuing to run
on a worn out belt will increase the wear on the deck. The deck will
eventually wear out also, but if you replace your belt when necessary,
you will increase the life of your deck
I hope this will be keep your safe with your equipment.
blessing.
sincerely.
