Proform 760 CrossTrainer Treadmill - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My proform 760 wont turn on....
Check if you are getting power to the treadmill by simply plugging in a lamp first to the outlet then check if the on/off reset is engaged.
Then if you have to proceed to under the motor shroud (See owners manual for removing shroud) you will need a multi-meter to trace back to the Motor Control Board to see if you are getting AC Power.
Then if you have power up to this point you'll have to check the wire harness leading to upper console to see if it has proper DC ( 5v or 12v ) voltage leaving and going to the upper console. If you have voltage leaving the board, if not replace the lower board, if you have no voltage reading to the console replace harness, if you do then either the safety key circuit or upper console is defective. Hallo, I have a problem with my PROFORM 760 AIR, and when it takes 3 or 4 minutes. for themselves, or when X passes also for speed.
tes the speed sensor. RUN the software calibration for troubleshooting and fix it. God bless you
Version:1.0
StartHTML:0000000168
EndHTML:0000003648
StartFragment:0000000468
EndFragment:0000003631
The
Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration
Locate the calibration area on the
rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center,
that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not
have a screw in it.)
Insert a pencil (eraser end),
into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click
when pressed).
Press the button 2 times
(with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11
in the console, the second click should show CL21.
If the process was done correctly,
and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration
mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons
on the console and observing settings. This will not require
any other tools.
Press ENTER. CL22 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL23 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL24 should display
in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL25 should
display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
Press ENTER. CL26 should
display in the TIME window. You should then see the
letter "E."
Press ENTER. You should see "SS"
or "55" in the console.
Push the STOP/START button. For
safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the
treadmill.
Push the ENTER button. The walking
belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on
its own.
When the belt stops, the
incline should self test by raising to its highest
incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest
position.
Once the incline test is complete,
push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the
console should go completely blank. If this happens, the
treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
- If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE
window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill
is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or
INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared
in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

I stand on the belt
Observe the belt to detect any fraying. When a belt becomes worn, the
frayed area creates more friction and resistance. This increases the
heat and power requirements on the motor. The treadmill detects the
problem and shuts off the power. If the belt is loose, use the Allen
wrench to tighten the tension by adjusting the screws on the back of the
treadmill. Turn the screws 1/4 inch clockwise to tighten the belt.
Step
2 Feel the area in the center of the platform underneath the belt. This
area should feel slick. If the treadmill platform and belt aren't
lubricated, friction causes too much resistance, and the motor shuts
down. Check this to lubricate it.

Describe your proform 765 ekg
The problem you have is one of two things. 1 you have a loose walk belt, or 2 you have a spun front drive pully.
You need to remove the front cover to be able to observe the drive belt as it is turning on the drive pully( on the LH side of the front roller) try to stop the walk belt while traveling at speed setting 3. Hang on to the side handles, if the drive belt runs as normal, watch the front roller it will be slipping. If this happens you will need to replace the front roller. Red key is inserted, mains
Check the breaker by the power cord to see if it was tripped. if it isn't there could possibly be a problem with your motor controller.

Belt skips
take the cover off, if the front drive roller continues to turn when the running belt stops, tension the running belt by using the rear adjustment screws. One full turn on each side should do it. If the front roller stops turning but the motor doesn't, tension the drive belt by adjusting the motor back.

If I stand on the belt it stops moving
Unplug unit remove motor shroud so you can see the drive belt, plug in unit then start it you will be able to see whether the drive belt or running is actually causing the problem. If it is the running belt then turn both rear roller adjustment bolts clockwise in equal quarter turn increments until treadbelt stops slipping. NOTE: Be sure to run on treadbelt to ensure that the treadbelt does not slip while under load. Use 1/4" allen wrench
If the drive belt is slipping then to adjust the belt you must loosen the adjusting bolt on the motor frame then hold the motor by hand applied tension to belt then tight bolt you should be able to twist the drive belt no more then 45 degrees if you can repeat adjusting process.

First, ensure that it is the walking belt that is loose.
There is a belt hidden under the hood that connects the front roller to the
motor (motor/drive belt). Start the
treadmill at 3 or so and carefully apply pressure to the walking belt until it
slips/stops. Watch the front
roller. If it continues to spin when the
walking belt stops, it’s the walking
belt. It the front roller stops with the
walking belt, the motor belt is
loose and needs adjusted or replaced.
To adjust the walking
belt, locate 2 hex head bolts, one on either side of the deck on the very back of
the machine. These bolts will be
recessed inside the plastic covers. Your
treadmill came with a tool for this,
but if you can’t find it, a standard
(not metric) allen wrench kit will work.
It’s helpful to have a wrench in each bolt so that you can adjust them
at the same time, but one will work.
The allen bolts
thread directly through each side of the rear roller. As you tighten the bolts, it pulls the rear roller away from the front
roller, tightening the walking
belt. This also centers it; if you
tighten one bolt, it pushes the belt
towards the center of the walking deck away from the bolt you’re tightening. So if the belt is too far to the right, tighten the right bolt and it will move towards
the center.
Place your wrenches
in the roller bolts and turn the machine on to 3-4 miles an hour. Keep your fingers clear of the belt, it will eat them.
This method is quick, because
you can see the belt move as you tighten one side or the other. It takes a few seconds,
but if you tighten the right bolt for instance,
you will see the belt move to the left.
If the belt is loose but centered,
tighten each bolt ½ turn and then get on the machine and see if it slips. The user manual will tell you to pull it up a
couple of inches to test the tightness,
which is a relative method and doesn’t necessarily work. My wife can pull on the belt and get 2 inches, and I can probably get 3 or even 4 if I’m showing
off. The best way to test it is to
gradually tighten it until you can run on it without it slipping.
You should lube the
belt a couple of times a year. You can get them from iconfitness.com
Good Luck!

Belt stops when i walk on it
with item going 2mph, stand on foot rails, hold on handles, with one foot try stopping walking belt-look at front roller while doing this-if walking belt slips around frt roller, its the walking belt loose. at each corner there is an adjustment, with proper allen wrench, turn CLOCK WISE one turn EQAULLY on each side!! Then recheck, keep doing this untill it quits slipping-Small moves is best don't crank.
Now on other hand if walking belt Stops with frt roller, its the MTR dr. belt under the hood, to tighten, with 2 9/16th wrenchs, I loosen mtr mount bolt, with one hand apply pressure to mtr, retighten, or have wife apply this pressure with her foot, but don't over tightn-u want to turn belt 1/4-1/2 inch on side. Also check walking lube under walking belt!!
