Treadmill turns off
Check you Drive Motor : Get a fully-charged, 18 volt
(preferred) cordless drill battery and on most treadmills connect the red and
black motor leads to the battery If
good, the motor should operate at about 1 MPH. Or if you have a extra car battery-
these are 12 VDC high amp batteries so the motor will turn slowly but you can
walk on the belt. If you have the same problem it could be worn motor brushes.

Incline does not work
ProForm Treadmills have a reset procedure for the incline function. With the key inserted in the console, activate the incline; while the incline is changing, remove the key. Wait 30 seconds, then replace the key. The incline should to maximum, then to minimum, resetting its limits. It worked for mine just 10 minutes ago; the procedure is in the manual if you have it. Good luck!

Belt stops running while standing on the treadmill
Either front roller may need to be replaced or the motor drive belt may need to be adjusted. This problems are caused when a walking belt is worn out and in need of replacement. Too much tension can cause bearing failure in the motor and the front roller and front roller pulley failure.
Motor drive belt adjustment: The motor drive belt is adjusted independently from the walking belt. Some newer models have an auto tensioner which is a lever that has a wheel that puts pressure on the drive belt and a spring on the other end that automatically loads the belt to the proper tension. You should not adjust these since they are preset. Tension can be affected slightly by adjusting the tension of the walking belt but if you have a slipping problem, the drive belt will require replacement. If your drive belt is too loose, it will slip on the front roller pulley or the motor pulley. If it is too tight, it will increase your amp draw to the point that you may have an electronics or motor problem. Due to this, it is better to be on the safe side and replace a drive belt rather than risk over tightening it.

My treadmill proform835QT fails to incline. What
Try to calibrate the incline: Hold down the stop and speed up buttons at the same time then insert the key. release the buttons the press the stop button and release then press the incline up button. the incline motor should go all the way up then all the way down with - - on the console. If the unit only moves just a and inch or so or the motor just hums , the incline sensor is faulty.

Belt is slipping
your macnine needs some maintenance. slippage on the proform is usually due to a worn out front roller and a worn motor driving the belt. both can be replaced. or you may want to find a good used one as many get no use before the optomististic owner decides to sell.

Treadmil stops or slows down upon walking.
Check both belts to be sure they are adjusted and not slipping.Check the underside of the walk belt to see if it feels frayed in the center as compared to the edges, the center always wears more than the edges a really worn belt must be replaced. if it is nor worn there is a wax lubricant for proform treadmills that can be purchased at retail stores that sell treadmills.Sears, dicks sporting goods and also treadmilldoctor.com are good places to buy it.

Proform 450 X treadmill powers on, but trips current when started
There could be a combination of problems. I would first start with disconecting the motor leads and see if it trips the breaker. Then elevation motor would be next if no change from disconecting motor. More than likely it's a motor issue.

Proform 515s treadmill motor won't start
If the colse buttons make a chirping noise when you push them the console should be Ok. If there is no chirping noise with the push it is a bad console. If everything but the speed works it will probably be your motor controller that is bad.
