I have an older proform elliptical and the battery cover cracked.

Go to FitnessRepairParts com and type in your exact model number in the search box at the top to view the parts list for that model. You may be able to find a cover there. Or you can contact support if you can't find your exact model number, they are very helpful

What is the voltage of charger or power pack?

The model number you posted is for a treadmill, not an elliptical machine. If you can locate the specific elliptical model # located on the frame decal (where the serial# is located) we can help you find the answer

I have proform smart stride. When you turn it on,

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you · 1 Check your owner's manual for diagrams and definitions. You'll need this information when you put the elliptical back together. You'll also want definitions in case you need to call the customer support line for assistance. · 2 Be aware that the resistance is often the part that requires repair. Resistance is managed magnetically, so often if the machine is working, but the resistance isn't setting correctly or at all, check the bolts that secure the magnets. If they are loose, the resistance will slip. If the bolts are fine, check the magnets themselves by using a refrigerator magnet and see if it is attracted or repelled by the your fridge magnet. If not, the magnets have de-magnetized and need to be replaced. · 3 Consider that if the foot pedals are attached with bolts, any slipping can be fixed with a quick use of the wrench. But if the foot pedals are damaged or breaking, order new foot pedals (see Resources below) rather than run the risk of a pedal breaking while you're on the machine. · 4 Check the hand bars. While not all people use them, as they can elevate your heart rate by up to 20 percent, they can become worn, too. While loose hand bars typically need a simple tightening of the bolt, be sure not to overtighten as the bolts can break. · 5 Know that if the axis is bent, it's likely you need a new machine. The axis is the central alignment of the elliptical. If the machine was used by a person who is over the maximum weight limit, it can be bent or damaged. It's not an easy fix and a better idea is to upgrade to a sturdier machine

My 390 E is locked up and I can't move the pedals. I checked the belt, it's still on and it's tight.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you Electronics Problem You control the tension of the pedals using the buttons on the console. When you assemble the A.C.T. elliptical, you have to thread a group of wires from the console through the upright down to the electronics board. These wires communicate the resistance settings to the electronics board. If the wires twist, disconnect or break, the resistance will not work. You will need to reconnect or replace the wires. Belt came off and need to put back on

1

Remove the screws or bolts securing the ends of the pedals to the crank axles. Slide the ends of the pedals off the axles. Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right disc shields to the base unit. Pull or pry the disc shields off the base unit and set them aside. 2

Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right side shields to the base unit. Detach the side shields and set them aside. Examine the interior of the base unit and locate the drive belt. 3

Pull the drive belt free of the crank pulley, flywheel and any other pulleys. Discard the old drive belt and install a new belt in its place. Turn the crank axles by hand to confirm that the belt will turn smoothly when the device is in use.SINCERELY. GOOD LUCK.ERNESTO CUADRAMANAGUA,NICARAGUA

My Pro-Form 490 LE has

Open the rear part where the "guts" are. The magnet will be stuck against the wheel that turns when you pedal because the cable that the resistance motor pulls to remove the tension will have too much slack in it. The cable probably came off of the pulley wheel that is used to providing the necessary tension to pull the magnet off of the wheel.

To get the case off, simply unhook the right side pedal, remove the 4 bolts holding on the crank thing to remove it, then using a philips head screwdriver, remove the screws in the screw holes on the case cover. Be sure to remove the one screw on the other side near the front in order to allow the front part to "unsnap".

Have purchased a used Pro Form 900 Cardio Cross Trainer

If you can hear the adjustment motor running the problem could be related to two things:
1. Broken or stretched resistance adjustment cable.
2. Broken bracket for the magnet return spring.
If the resistance is on maximum all the time the second issue is most likely the cause.

Resistance is not working.

Unplug the power supply give it about 30 second then plug the unit back in you should hear the servo motor resetting itself. If not you may have remove the side panels to inspect the magnetic boot and assembly to see if the servo motor is physically moving or not. Also check if the Drive belt it may have come off the fly wheel and large pulley assembly.
If the belt is in place then to test the motor simply apply 12v DC to the motor leads then reverse the leads to to if their is movement. If not or hesitates replace motor if good we may have upper console problems.and will need to replaced. Call Icon Fitness @ 1-800-999-3756
