How do I replace the roller brush on a kirby Heritage II?

The brushroll is held onto that baseplate by the metal brackets on either end of it. You have to slightly bend them outward to remove the brushroll.

I was using my Heritage 11 vacumn with the hose

Hi, the motor could be overheating. Most vacuums have a heat sensor that shuts the vac. off if there is a clog. Let it sit, feel if it's hot. If so you may have a blockage of dirt etc. Try to clear it, let it cool and tart it up. I hope this helps, if not let me know with more details and we can narrow things down Chris

While using it, started making a loud noise. Turned off. Came back wouldn't work. What's wrong?

Also when i read this its looks like the motor armature could be damaged, to test first plug out for shure the powercord. If when a collector on the armature is defect you must turn the motor a little to know if it is true and if thats so, you can test it try to lift the front cap turn a little the motor on the shaft where the belt runs on connect the hose again or what you will use operated switch ON and operate the cableplug of powercord to look when it works again then you know that the noise is the armature, the collector thats broken is a little higher in the commutator circuit and therefore it stops in the most time right on one of the 2 carbon brushes, which may be the reason that he suddenly stops working and also make noise. Other examples can i not anOther reason are the carbon brushes in which the automatic stop is addressed, but that is not associated with noise. if a belt is broken the motor runs fine only if a dust bag or hose are distconnected then that 2 security switches only are the cause thats why it not worked anymore but the chance that its fortuity is 1-1000. 25830467-lfkxcpojx51wojgzm0n2wodu-5-0.jpg

Where does the power light clip on to on the kirby legend 2 1984

The light clips into the top and mid point of that black on off switch. It is the biggest pain to see those 2 entry terminals on the back of that switch and the only way is to cut those white tie wraps that go around the light wires to the pot metal frame to get just the extra amount you will need. A good light source and a sharp pair of needle nose pliers will be needed to push the 2 light plugs into that main black switch. I used to dread that when replacing those entire switches until getting used to it. Another note that if you get the motor wires reversed when plugging them into that switch......it reverses the motor and will blow instead of suck. Hope this helps! William R!

How do you put on the attachment hose to clean sta...

Assuming the rug nozzle is currently attached, lift up the headlight hood. Twist the belt lifter (black plastic square) on the rug nozzle counterclockwise to remove the belt tension. Then pull the accessory lock up until the rug nozzle comes loose of the Power Plant. You will notice two hinges at the bottom that hook on the the Power Plant's attaching bar. Gently lift up the rug nozzle to unhook it from the attaching bar.

Now your Kirby is naked. You will notice two small hooks on the hose attachment--hook them over the attaching bar, place the end of the hose attachment firmly against the Power Plant, then push the accessory lock down to clamp the hose in place.

You are now ready to use your Kirby with the hose attachment.
