Craftsman 10" Table Saw Questions & Answers
Trying to cut any size piece of wood the saw blows
Are you operating the saw on a 10 amp circuit or with a long extension cord? Table saws need at least a 15 amp circuit and should not be used with an extension cord. If absolutely necessary the extension cord should be no less than 12 guage. Tabel saws will run OK on a 10 amp circuit but as soon as you apply a load (try to cut wood) the power requirements go up to keep the saw turning. If you can, plug it into another outlet on a higher capacity circuit breaker or at least closer to the breaker box. If it still pops the breaker you may have bearing problems in the motor that are creating too much friction. This would make the motor work harder to turn so it would draw excessive power and trip the breaker.
Broken piece on an old Craftsman table saw
Boy I would be livid if it were my saw. I had a similar problem with a very old marine engine I resrored. A casting was damaged and not avalabled so I went to a machine shop who sent it or to be welded and than the shop tooled it. You can give it a try if you can't find the part. Good luck.
10 inch table saw blade not square with table
Sounds like the bolts that hold the motor assembly on the table may be loose allowing the blade assembly to move. Look underneath the table and clean out all the dirt and loosen all the hold down bolts and realign the blade and tighten back up.

If it is locked by rust you can get some heat onto it and the expansion will break it free. Make sure any solvent in the freeing agent you put on has evaporated or you may loose your eyebrows. Get a pencil flame blow torch (larger flame if there is sufficient space) protect any components which could be damaged by shielding with a soldering mat. Heat up the seized joint. It doesn't need to be to extreme temperature. Use a jet of cold water to chill the seized joint. Check to see if it has freed, if not repeat the procedure until it does. Once free, heat gently to dry it and then apply lubrication once it has cooled.

Shaft lock will not hold cant change blade
Generally yes. Just put a screwdriver or bar of metal into the teeth of the blade and crank the nut. In the old days that was how we did it all the time.
A vicegrip can be clamped on the blade if you want to protect the teeth.
Craftsman saw mod # 113-298051
The blade is able to be set to different angles by the handle under the front edge of the table. There is a lock handle to keep the angle set correctly. Loosen the lock handle, press a square (90 degree tool) against the flat of the blade - not the teeth - then lock the blade in place.

I need the wiring diagram for my 10 table saw
Im guessing ... the motor is 110 volt AC (AC dont care if it is coming or going) ... find the two terminals in the motor and hook the wires back up. If it HAPPENS to be incorrect, the saw will run poorly or the overload will trip.
I wouldnt be afraid to use this method on my craftsman table saw.
