hi!

you put the rice inside and just add water the same place where the rice is.

just remember that the ratio for rice is 1:1.

1 cup water = 1 cup rice. make sure you use the same cup.

for brown rice 1:2. 1 rice: 2 water

Either the inner pan is not seated deep enough, or the bushing where the paddle comes through the pan has raised up a bit. Support - Parts for replacement parts on the Black and Decker website.

when the machine is plugged in, the settings should be indicated in a little window, Just keeping pressing settings until you see the word DOUGH or number 8 Press set, then start and away you go.
