iRobot Roomba Red 4100 Bagless Robotic Vacuum Questions & Answers
My 4150 goes around in
I have had this problem, I called the company. Blow out all the sensors, I used an electric tire pump with a small pointy attachment to blow out all the dirt. You will be surprised to see the dirt fly.
My Roomba has been charged for 16 hours after not
These Irobots are just pieces of ****. Everyone I know that has had an irobot, including myself, has had problems with theirs. After the warranty is up, there is no real way to fix the more common problems. The most common problems are fatal problems.. meaning the manufacturers are crooks and rig them to not work long so you have to buy a new one. F***ing crooks!! Go around and talk **** about the IROBOT all over the internet so that the crooks don't get any more sales off their stupid product.
Roomba model 4150
I did the same thing,I charged for over 12 hrs and it run for only few seconds then the red lights comes on.I was on the process of replacing with a new battery till I got in to this and I guess I'll leave it alone rather than wasting money for a new battery.
Roomba red #4100 needs repair does the circle
sounds like you have two different issues here. (Possibly one common)
Clean out the cliff sensors. Under the bumper. blow it out clean. This might stop the reverse circling. The battery is either bad, or the charging circuit is bad. if battery is know good then the problem is the main board needs to be replaced. a bad battery will kill a main boards charging circuit by over working it with shorted batteries
Mine is the Discovery model
Hi,
You are correct though you have the discovery model the way to understand the code and find the troubleshooting steps are same. First when the status light comes on, the Discovery is going to sing like "uh-oh," and then beep a number of times. You need to count the beeps. They're a code that tells you what's wrong with the Discovery. You can check iRobot's website for a chart of beep codes. Search "What is Disvocery to me?" on the troubleshooting page to understand what’s wrong .
Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.
Roomba red problem,
there should be 2 quarter sized sensors on top/behind the brush that detect granular objects. I'd try cleaning those off. they might need to be replaced though.
