The Golden Buzzaround Lite Scooter (I am not sure of the RTO prefix) is manufactured by
Golden technologies. If you broke the control lever (paddle) for the throttle potentiometer, there is probably also damage to the potentiometer. I recommend you replace the paddle and potentiometer. See page 16 at the following link:

This is a simple repair that should take under 1 hour. It's a little tricky to center the paddle by loosening and tightening the allen set screws.

You can save considerably on the labor cost if you replace this part yourself. Work slowly and carefully so you do not damage the internal circuit board or pinch any wires on assembly. Use the correct size allen wrench so you do not strip the screws when removing the paddle lever. Hope this helps.

lost is the key a round pin that slips into a hole on your dash? If it is, any round metal item will work until you can get a replacement. I've used a phillip screwdriver and a drill bit the same diameter as the hole. hope this helps you

Pull the key out of the plug or key switch. There is a freewheel/brake release lever sticking out of the top or back of your scooter on the driver's right hand side. Push this handle the opposite way it is now and try the scooter. If this does not work, repeat the steps above. It is important to do this with the key out of the unit or it will not reset.

Brake in freewheel means that your scooter is not fully in gear, it must be 'set in the engaged (Fully forward) position.' See page 24 of the manual for your model, (Link below to the pdf if you need it) but if its anything like mine it just didn't click in properly. Roll it back and forward a few inches, and it should 'click' like the seat in the car when you change its position. If freewheel is not the problem (if it can't be rolled and is definately in gear) check all plugs and cords are tight in sockets, you may have a brakes problem. In this event it must be looked at by an expert. Stay safe!

ok, right the throttle lever has moved round slightly,

Look under the throttle lever where it connects to a stem, this stem should have a cross slot on it , you need to undo the throttle lever, two allen bolts inserted in the lever, move the cross head with a screw driver while holding the throttle lever still, you will need to experiment but it quite easy to sort, the cross slot should be nearly centre when looking under the throttle lever.

One of the batteries is no good ,,, get new one.
