Tone, unless your landline company is using antique equipment which only allows pulse dialing.

Most multiphone sets need to have the phones hung up on the same base all the time. They are set up as set 1 and set 2 etc. Look in the screen, it should say which is 1 and 2. 1 is always the main base. Try unplugging the power cord for a few minutes. It sometimes takes that long for the equipment to reset itself.

When you have it on the base does the phone light up?

Follow the instructions on page 8 of the manual.

Try disconnecting the base from the power supply. Then take the battery out. wait a few minues, then plug baack in and reinsert the battery, and it should work. You might have to reset the date and time. \check the V-Tech site for instructions.Good luck.cherriwh

the handset may be deregistered from the phone base. follow this steps:1) remove the handset from the phone base2) press and hold FIND HANDSET on the phone bases for about 5 seconds until the red IN USE light turnson.3) press #on the handset. The handset displays Registered. please see your instr. manual for to repass this steps.God bless you

take another phone and call the number and if you have a code hit star or pound # and then you can check

Try the "hard reboot". /1/ Unplug power from base station. /2/ Disconnect battery in each handset. /3/ Wait a few minutes. /4/ Reconnect battery. /5/ Re-plug-in power to base station. /6/ Place handset in base station, and wait a few minutes for it to recover.You may have to reset time/date and/or the handset ##.

Without knowing the model of the phone I can't give you a definite answer, but many VTech phones have a MENU/SEL button that brings up the main menu, from which you can change the language.

Ring volume

The handset ringer volume can be adjusted from five levels.

• Press MENU/SELECT to display menu when in idle mode.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to reach Setup HS. Press MENU/SELECT.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to reach Ring volume . Press MENU/SELECT.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to scroll through the choices and a sample of each ring

volume will be played. Press MENU/SELECT to confirm.

• The screen displays Stored and you'll hear a confirmation beep.

You can adjust the ringer volume by pressing VO L+/VOL- on the
telephone base when the telephone is ringing.

Programming Speed Dial Numbers
The handset must be OFF.
1. Press PROG. The IN USE LED will blink to indicate that you are in the programming mode.
2. Press the number of the memory location you wish to store the number in (0-9).
3. Using the dial pad, dial the number you want to store. The number can be up to 16 digits long. The number can be entered manually or by using REDIAL.
4. Press MEM to store the phone number
to the key you selected.

The phone now exits PROG mode and emits a tone.


Speed Number Dialing
1. Press PHONE to get a dial tone.
2. Press MEM and the memory location number key (0-9). For example, to dial the number you assigned to key '8', you would press PHONE, MEM, 8

make sure phone is off (no dial tone or caller) , then hit program it will say directory arrow down with the volume key until it says ringer tone. it give 4 options for ringer tones and off hit select (and choosing a ring tone)

Make sure the telephone base is plugged into a working electrical outlet and the telephone line cord is plugged into the base and telephone jack.

Dampen a cloth in water and squeeze it to remove excess water. Wipe down the battery contacts on the bottom of the phone and the base.

Place the phone onto the base, aligning the battery contacts with the contacts on the cordless phone. The indicator light on the charging base should light up, indicating that the battery is charging. A drained battery can take up to 12 hours to fully charge.

Remove the phone from the base, and turn the phone on. If the battery did not charge, slide the battery cover on the back of the cordless phone downward.

Disconnect the battery plug from the jack in the battery compartment.

Plug the new battery into the jack in the battery compartment.

Slide the battery compartment door in place over the battery housing unit.

Allow the battery to charge for 12 hours.

Reset voicemail password from AT&T's automated system

Call 611 or 800-331-0500.
Enter the wireless number starting with area code .
Press 3 to "get help with voicemail."
Press 3 to reset your VM password.
Enter the Billing Zip code for the account.
After a few seconds, iPhone will display "Password Incorrect - Enter Voicemail Password."
Enter the last seven digits of the wireless phone number and tap OK.

NOTE: You must be registered and logged into myWireless Account to view this information.

From the myWireless Account home page, select Phone/Device then choose the Reset Voice Mail PIN link from the left column.
IMPORTANT: If there is more than one line on the account, make sure the correct wireless number is displayed in the Wireless Number list before selecting Reset Voice Mail PIN.
To reset the password for any of the lines on the account, choose a wireless number from the dropdown menu
Click Submit.
After a few seconds, iPhone will display "Password Incorrect - Enter Voicemail Password."
Enter the last seven digits of the wireless phone number and tap OK.
